Craigslist ad for Lincoln, Ne.

I just saw this. It's not mine or anybody I know- I thought I'd pass it on. It seems to be a pretty good deal.

It's gotta be a scam. Nobody in their right mind would sell a bike that new and that farkled out for only $3000.

Could be it was owned by a dwarf who had a growth spurt or God told the owner to buy a Harley. Shit like that happens in Nebraska all the time.

I am selling mine on ebay for $4,200 but I would take $3000 cash . Its just that Ebay takes a percentage . Taxes too.

It could be that they need the money badly... What I find interesting is that even though it is lowered, there is still a block of wood under the kickstand.

 

Naw. I think it's a scam. My RSS feed from searchtempest for VFR's in Craigslist gets blown up with this same ad every couple days. Every one gets deleted as scam/spam/overpost.

If it was truely that good of a deal it'd have been gone long ago.

It's a SCAM

I saw that last week on Omaha CL. I emailed the guy, he emailed back. He said he is in Ark. and would ship.....whatever.:crazy:

 

Someone in Denver was continually posting an '08 R6 on CL for the same amount, $3,000. The add was blocked daily as a scam.

 

It's definitely a scam. The real ad has the bike from NJ.

For one that is real.. Check out Craigslist for Coastal Oregon for a yaller one with lots of farkles.

 

This scam is so old it creaks. Saw one for a bike near my hood that the fracking clutch and brake levers cost more than they wanted for the whole bike. Variations on a theme. The irony is that somebody is already scamming the scammers by selling them the scam.

 

Well tell you what. Just so no one is dissappointed, I will sell anyone here mine for $10,000. And I will even make that the cheaper USD. You pay shipping. Loved and pampered by original owner since new in the crate in August 06. Fair weather ridden only. Low mileage. Only 23K km......second time around.

 

How does this scam work? How is it to this guy's advantage to list the bike in the Lincoln, Ne. Craigslist for $3000 when he really wants $7200 in New Jersey?
