Transformer toy motorcycles for the kids. Yes the computer game players grew up and finally went outdoors and now they want motorcycles like the transformer toys they grew up with.

I hate all that plastic crap. Cheeeesssshhhh!!!!!!

If you fall down one time in the parking lot, it is going to cost you $1500.00 Minimum!!!

Don't forget your matching outfit !!!LOL

Oh yeah and... You better hope that cheap aluminum frame does not get any corrosion. Start looking for the white powder.
    Well the shipping was cheaper.

Should we start making aftermarket steel tube frames for that thing now.
    May be a great seller.
    Save your money.
    Production confirmed on Honda CB1100.
    No radiator. Steel frame.

    Donald,
Sounds like you may in the wrong forum. You don't like plastic, don't like aluminum frames? I don't think that there is anything wrong with either and nothing wrong with a nice well made steel frame.

Last I looked about 98% percent of vfrs have a fair amount of plastic and 100 percent of vfrs have aluminum frames. Just asking as to why do you put yourself through this everytime you open a page here.

Personally I like most bikes. Any chance I can I ride any loaners that come my way. Dirt bikes, Japanese bikes, Ducatis, Harleys. I am truly amazed at the performance available on newer bikes. Many of my friends and business associates know I am an old ex racer and freely hand over their prized possessions. It is sometimes surprising. I don't ride many hours a year anymore, spend more on my bicycles.

The Honda VF1000R had a square tube, steel, double loop cradle frame. It was fine.
10 years from now someone will be restoring one.

The alumimum frame bikes with many plastic panels or fiberglass panels will have been recycled for the aluminum. Or the frames will have turned to white powder.

The CB1100 has been on sale here a year, after being initially interested under close inspection in the stealership and on the road found it quite underwhelming for the money. On the steel frame side of things had wanted to buy a new CB1300S at the time but they had stopped importing them in 2009.

Took your time before deciding which side of the fence to fall ?

I've cooled a little to it myself although still think it a quality conversion with some potential and admit to not being in love with the faired S1000RR with its "Colonel Klink" looks.

I took a look at the S1000RR and thought the cut outs in the fairing looked like shark gills.
I like the looks of it, but I would not buy it with that cheap aluminum frame.

At least they did not build the passenger foot rest into the muffler. And it is not s a muffler shaped like a star wars space ship that costs $1500.00

Agree side on the S1000rr looks striking, the colonal Klink reference is from the front though comparing the two side by side can see the S1000rr's monocle is on the wrong side.

Donald, all that worrying about how it looks goes away the second you get one of those S1000rs up to speed in the proper venue. In fact, you couldnt care less how it looks .................just that it works. BTW, all those parts are what make it work, robbing the bike of them makes it less than what it is intended to be.
