So I have an 02 with some sort of crazy touring windscreen that was on it when I bought it. Unfortunately, the owner no longer had the OEM screen.

I don't know if it is my height or what...but the touring screen deflects wind straight into the bottom of my helmet and causes aweful buffering.

I'm looking to replace it with an OEM screen, or something that is similar in style and not so..... huge?

Anyone have an OEM screen for sale, or know of a retailer that carries them?

    Thanks!

If you don't find a used one, you might want to look at the Zero Gravity aftermarket screens.
I have the "SR" Smoke version on my 2004 and it seems to work and look good.
It was on the bike when I bought it, but I think they are around $85 from on-line vendors.
    Several companies have replacements available.

Maybe you could be the resident tester for one of the Chinese versions listed on Ebay. I think they are less than $50 including shipping.
You could also post a WTB thread in the "Classified" section here.

I have the stock OEM windscreen off my '03,a stock style dark smoke Zero Gravity windscreen, and a dark smoke double bubble Puig windscreen Balorok take your pick.

    LOL!

I actually DO have one of those Chinese made Ebay windscreens Charles. It's a double bubble dark smoke windscreen. As you would expect it's not the greatest quality windscreen you can buy,it has a few short comings but it also has a few strong points.

On the plus side it is fairly cheap $ wise, the plastic that the screen is made from is very thick, and the tinting on the screen is exceptionally dark so no sunlight penetrates through it to your dash gauges.

On the minus side it is fairly cheap build wise, the plastic doesn't quite line up properly with the body lines of the upper cowling, the mounting holes were a little off and had to be filed out just a bit so the windscreen would fit properly, and it has no hooks on the forward edges of the windscreen to hook into the upper cowling.

The Chinese made double bubble windscreen has a much broader and flatter top profile compared to the Puig double bubble windscreen. I used that windscreen on my bike for a couple of riding seasons before I switched to the Puig. I had no problems at all with it,in fact I actually really did like it. It did a very good job of knocking down the wind blast and it kept my dash gauges in the shade and easy to read. The only reason I switched to the Puig was I got tired of looking at those gaps in the body lines of the upper cowling where the windscreen didn't quite fit properly. In retrospect a heat gun and a bit of work would've prolly cured that though.

Chinese made windscreen is on the left in this pic and the Puig windscreen is on the right.

You should post a pic, you might find someone with an OEM screen who wants to trade, saving both parties some $$$.
