Just put a deposit down on a RWB in North Carolina. Don't know the VIN yet, but will post up. So without looking through all 13 pages. What's the general consensus as far as how many were made?

Congratulations. I'm sure you will love this bike. I started this thread a while back because my dealer told me that they were being made in a limited quantity. Over the last few years, I don't think we know exactly how many were made, but what we do know now is that there was no shortage of these bikes as they are still available on showroom floors - as you just found out.

Thanks for the reply. I'm actually buying used but the bike is in mint condition. Must have been somebody's garage queen. I read through all he pages. Havn't seen any number over 1500. And with the different designations between ABS, non ABS, and just red, I agree with others that there prolly isnt any more then 1500 tops.

I just bought my RWB in March 2010, brand new from the dealership. I also saw about 5 more RWB for sale NEW between 3 different Honda dealerships in Cherry Hill, NJ; Hamburg, NY and Batavia, NY. New York Biker

I ordered my bike back in October of '06 and took delivery in March of '07. I never would have imagined that 4+ years later that you can still buy them new. I thought for sure that with the retro color scheme that they wouldn't last long. It is by far my favorite. I'm still glad that I didn't wait. Congratulations on your new RWB. I'm sure you're going to love it.

    Greetings

Hello to all. I've followed this forum for a few years but never felt quite right registering being the proud owner of 2 1983 vf750f ceptors and a 1984 vf750f ceptor, obviously not VFR's...I feel pretty damn good to be able to register here now being the new owner of number 900202 !

That's where it all began. There are plenty of VF owners on this site, including myself. You didn't have to go out and buy a new VFR to be feel like that you could join the site, but it certainly was a good excuse! Good thinking. Enjoy the new bike and welcome to the forum.

The RWB paint scheme is the 25th anniversary edition to commemorate the original RWB paint schemes - that was the point. You can try to paint it yourself, but there's nothing like the original. What year is your 800?

Hmmm, I just bought # 407 in the other 2007 color, Candy Dark Red. I wonder if we are getting this backwards - RWB was the default color, and a small number were made in the other color. Pure speculation, of course. Not to hijack the thread (liar!), but does anyone know if the Dark Red was available any other time ?

No, not that shade of red. It's the first time it was available. I bet your hunch is right that there were fewer reds made than RWB.

11 of the 27 currently listed on cycle trader are red. My guess is also that RWB was the primary 07 color, after all it was the anniversary year.

Mine is 900226 I am the 3rd owner (was under 1500 miles when I got it). It will always be the first motorcycle my kids got to ride on with their dad. I do think the most of the "new" '07s still at dealers with zero miles are pretty much dried up now. I remembered a bunch of them (along with '08s and '09s) coming out of the woodwork when the '10 1200s were released.
