That'd be great. I'll let ya know (by resurrecting this Zombie thread even!) if I do make it there... My fingers are crossed, it'd be a great job.

Well, there are a lot of A-Holes in the world and apparently some of them ride motorcycles.

Here in Ohio. Been riding a long time. Never HARD though I'll admit. I'm a decent rider up in Cleveland.

Tim, when I look in the mirror I see a guy who says what he thinks. And some nicks and cuts from sloppy shaving.

I'd definitely be down for hitting some Ohio twisties in the near future with a fellow VFR rider. I know what you feel as I've got a friend that got his GSXR750 at the same time I got my VFR. He's still scared of even the slightest curves, so I'm constantly having to go under the posted speed limit so I don't get miles ahead.

OK that's funny/sad!! Are the Harley riders backing up behind him
Are you on Ohio Riders as well? There's a group ride for next weekend posted on there, starting in Columbus & going around thru Coshocton. I may try and meet up for it.
FYI (more for your friend ) there's a training event in June I think using a KTM Motard, so no worries about dropping your own bike.

I got a 5th gen Viffer and Im not afraid to get my knees dirty in a corner. However, if a Viffer ride gets together, I will not be able to lean off of my VFR. I do have other bikes that do not handle as well, but I should be able to hold my own.

I enjoy Rt 555 and some other roads down round Old Mans cave and that area. I'll be down for a ride coming up. Once I get the Reverse Trike rolling and tuned suspension, I'll hit the corners as hard as I can and, with any luck, I'll be able to keep up with some TOURING bikes

My experience is that VFR riders on the whole are good riders. Therefore, I don't accept the premise of this thread - unless OH is unique . . .

When I took my Advanced Sportbike course, the couple of guys there that had been riding for 10+ years and put over 150k on their bikes were very cocky about their abilities. They rated their riding abilities as a 9 out of the 10. They ended up being the ones that had the most trouble with the figure 8 and corners.

I rated myself as a 5, but I was the only one draggin peg in a parking lot, on a sport touring bike. Of course a training day at Mid-Ohio helps

    I say again:

Turns out I got the job in VA instead, which is great, cause there are great roads out here; course the drivers suck, BUT NOT AS BAD AS OHIO!!!

Hell, I can't ride; I'm old, fat and outta shape.

Anyway, if you weren't keeping up with this thread back in the day, I'm from Michigan (and was living there at the time I was posting), so some "good natured" ribbing to those of you in the Big O, is only normal for me...

I keed, I keed, I always keed. I actually did follow this thread - two years ago. But I am old too so the mind is slipping.

Cool you're from up north. I love Michigan - to vacation on the lake and stuff. I especially like your brand of football these past few years. (We're gonna miss Rich the Rod.)
