After much machine work and measuring it's done, CBR1000F 94 5.5 wide rear and what must have been a Hurricane 1000 NOS front because I had to machine it too....it was supposed to be a Hurricane 600 direct fit but was wider by 5MM at the forks on each side and rotor mounts 5MM wider each side.

Awesome! I gotta get me another Gen2 and do a suspension wheel upgrade. That would be fun.. I loved my Gen2.

Nice XX in the background too. I have an XX and just did a suspension transplant (USD forks) on it.

It took me a couple monthes to do the mods I wanted and make the DRZ400E street legal, I have about 2k miles on it now, running strong with the MRD SSW and the FCR pumper carb dialed in. I hit 90 mph on GPS off road so far with 15/42 gearing.

there you go, white wheels just look right.
a small can of that magic honda spray polish
and few clean rags will be your best friend.

i doubt you will be hating the modern rubber,
unless they totally overwhelm the suspension.

    what size tires?

170/60-ZR17 and 110/70-ZR17 Conta Road Attacks, found them new fresh date code for $200 shipped for both. Ride height seems near the same with this size rear.

The swingarm is no issue even with a wider tire, notched the chaingaurd 1/3 inch, machined the reaction arm about 6 mm to clear tire by about 6mm, machined all parts of cushdrive hub to inset it 3mm deeper, machined cd hub bearing seat 1.5mm so dust seal would sit deeper, faced off the hub seal lip 2mm for good swingarm clearance, machined sprocket bolts and nuts down for clearance, reversed oem sprocket it sits about 1mm farther in that way. Ordered a late model cbr1000rr countershaft sprocket (wider spline area) faced the outside 2.5mm, made a 3.3mm shim to go behind the cs sprocket, so it has good chain to tire clearance (a 180 tire should clear) and line up to rear sprocket, notched the cs sprocket cover to clear the cs sprocket, made new wheel spacers rt and left sides. Wheel alignment came out perfect, It drives sweet now and of course looks great. These wheels use, vfr700 rotors, axles and rear sprocket.
