One positive I was able to find in the days happenings was that Pedrosa plopped it on the table and managed a 2nd place. All things considered, that was a hell of an effort. With a month off to heal, and Honda friendly tracks on the horizon, today could prove significant. The other was that Hayden also managed a podium; always good to see him up front.

If you are talking about those fast dudes who are out there, that is probabably a valid point. Not so valid for the one handed fast typers here who would never fall.

Not that you're shy about saying odd things but Casey has long been with his hottie Adriana and Rossi is a well known trysexual ( not that there's anything wrong with that ).

Well, they tried, for him, and Simoncelli, BUT, there's a reason it didn't start:

So, that super-cool new transmission that Honda has, might be helping them do really well, just don't stall the bike...

"Casey Stoner faced a much more difficult task. The Australian had cut the engine on his RC212V, to avoid any damage from the bike running on its side. But the Honda's fancy gearbox requires two pins to be inserted in the clutch to allow the engine to be started. It is possible to bumpstart the engine without these pins, but it is extremely difficult."

Always good to remember, "This is racing, anything can happen." I don't like rain races, but you gotta admit, they do shake things up.

I think the boys at MotoMatters have it wrong. What they should've said was - "For reasons unknown, all bikes seem to have trouble re-starting, or even being noticed, when Rossi has also crashed and is in the general vacinity".

Shit happens in racing and everyone will get over it focusing on the next race but understand why Casey was not totally happy Rossi required a Television circus to follow him rather than come over to apologize directly.

" Casey Stoner (Repsol Honda RC212V) says: ....

" I would prefer if Valentino did it away from the cameras and would say something to me quietly without always having to have proof. For sure Valentino doesn't do this for himself, he just wants to show to everybody that he has apologize. Yes it's a nice gesture, it's very good, but it still doesn't change the result today, so we'll see what happens in the next races." "

Thanks.. ;) Our next endeavor should be some tip on how to get Norkleboy hooked up with a nice girl like that before he catches some horrid version of cannibal crotch crickets from one of those hookers he pays for.

I wonder if the folks that really run the big show would have a job opening for "keeper of the hats" ? I think they have a dude that does that for NASCAR. So far, the sponsors have not yet put to use what I call the "Halfwit Hats", popular with the hiphumpers and ex-mulleteers.

I think what may be missing here is filtration and spin. Racing at this level is not for me, you or any of the wannabe pundits and re-posters. We watch in awe. Who the fuck really knows what was said or who said what especially if it's on the internet? If anybody thinks they know what these guys are thinking or even how they think, delusional comes to mind.

And ahead of Loris, who Schwantz said was sandbaggin' it last year. Bonus product from Rizla.

What happened with Edwards bike? He said it just "stopped" and it was on the rubber with just the front wheel in the marbles, so he didn't fall. Or is there a physical law about Nicky passing him on the final lap?

This will happen more times than not this year, wet or dry. As Stoner knows all to well, when you push that Ducati it will fold and throw you off of it. Same thing ALMOST happen last race when Spies was passing Rossi and Rossi was trying to stay in front of him. He about came off the machine and prob would have taken Spies out in the process. I bout threw something at the tv! You know, being a Spies fan and what not. It was for sure an interseting race to watch!

Appears you are incorrect. Lorenzo did manage to lowside and fell hard.

but it wasn't shown on SPEED.

There is a longer version showing some dudes patting him on the ass and humping his leg. No wonder he took off!

I am sure there will be frame by frame interpretations, of this event from the peanut gallery.

Sorry for coming in to this discussion late, but after watching Sunday's race on the DVR just now, I just have to say that was the most frustratingly F'd up race I've ever seen!!! First off of course Rossi's maneuver was idiotic at best, especially in the rain, what was he trying to prove?? And then towards the end everyone was crashing out alone... I always root for Spies and then with 4 laps to go with a 2 second lead over 3rd crashes out alone??? Come on bro, you gotta finish the friggin race!!! Anyways, I'm fairly new to motorcycle racing and this is only my 3rd season watching but damn!!! I feel like I need vent so thanks for listeneing!! GO #11 - On a side note I do need to give props to Pedrosa, hung in there even with all the injuries and pulled off a podium! Nice to see an American in there too!! (wish it was Spies though) Can't wait to see the next one. Does anyone know if any races come through Southern California?? I thought AMA came here last year, but when I looked up their schedule for this year, didn't see it??? Anyway thanks for listenin'

If Moto GP is what you are looking for in SoCal, you're SOL. Laguna was only certified of recent for Moto GP. Try Willow Springs.

I have to agree. Rossi is an asshole, probably gay and needs to learn to ride from any of a number of dudes here. He is also Italian and we all know how they are. I saw this on TV so it's true.

MotoGp is at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey July 24, as is the AMA series July 22-24. The drive is very much worth it to watch in person.

Poor Jorge, his post race antics sometimes backfire on him - like the Spanish flag tangling up in his rear wheel. He's amusing but not graceful about it.
