    Ronayers.com Microfiche Honda>Motorcycle>2001>VFR800FI>UPPER COWL

check RonAyers -- $77.06 plus a few more bucks for minor hardware. - I looked at Emgo' s and thought the quality wasnt there.

Service Honda may have them even cheaper.

Tip - Get a print out of the cost and take that to the dealer to see if they will match. If they will you save shipping cost.

Man that Ronayers site is cumbersome. I just ordered all my exhaust gaskets, front bearings and seals, and a couple misc cowl bushings. Everytime i clicked "continue shopping" it would add 1 qty to the last item i put in my cart, so everytime i added something to my cart i had to start over by selecting my make, model, year, etc. all over again

I ended up ordering the emgo's from motorcycle superstore

And i picked up the exhaust from the ceramic coaters yesterday.............

And its been rather nice here the past couple weeks and spring fever has set in..........

Thanks again for the help guys!

That's lookin' good there Bat!

I am really diggin' the look of that Wolf twin can underseat exhaust you used on your bike.
I've never seen one of those before. That thing is just plain cool.

When you're done with your build can you maybe post a coupla pics of the back end of the bike so we can see it?

Run into any problems installing that header?

You gonna be running her naked at the front? (no front fender)

Sorry Bat,quid pro quo my friend, you asked the questions yesterday, today it's my turn.

    haha, no problem.

Ive had a lot of comments on the exhaust, it was already on the bike when i bought it a few years ago. Its very rare from what i understand, and sounds awesome.
This winter i had the bike apart to do a lot of stuff (brakes, chain, rear shock, etc) so i took the exhaust completely off , cleaned the mufflers, and had everything else ceramic coated. Its a stock header so install wasnt too bad with the rear shock out and the chain off, etc.

Not running naked (not the bike anyway haha) just havent gotten to the last few parts yet ;)

Its too bad everyone is so proud of those 8 spokes, its the only thing i dont like about my bike now hahaha

The exhaust is nice, sure, but that plate is golden! :thumb:

Keep an eye on eBay & Craigslist, the 8 spokes pop up all the time. I just picked one up for $100 on CL.

I think you will find that the arm length is a little shy. You see a lot or arm and less rear view. Many buy extensions.

I saw somewhere on this site where someone made their own extensions out of clear acrylic, and installed amber LED lights within, then wired them to their signal lights. A cool idea for sure. That will probably be a summer project for me. I can't see that costing much at all.

Yes sir, the emgo's are slightly shorter. I havent ridden the bike yet, but just sitting on it, it doesnt appear that i can see any more arm than with the stockers. We'll see once im on the road

Something else that came with the bike that i cant take credit for, but i had to keep it hahaha
