IMO with all the bucks this site makes on ads, calendars and those "in" for pay clubbies, they ought to have an award for the best damn bench racer here. Cast your vote today.

I am voting for BZ who is the only guy so far that is really racing somethng other than a LazyBoy Recliner with a built in beer cooler, or one of those combination laptop and toilet deals that are popular.

My suggestion for this prestigious award would be one of these:

Come on now, billy. Many of us have spent varying amounts of time on a track, and all of us ride. You don't have to be a porn star to understand the fundamentals of fucking.

I hope nobody got run over crossing the track. I do like that analogy though. It tends to evidence that all dudes are not created equal.

Huh? You mean the bike that ain't won jack yet? That "superior"?

A little early to use that word in my book. Higher potential, more upside, improving, etc. Those I can see, but "superior"? I wouldn't got that far.

I do like Haslam too, though he and Johnny Rae need to show me something soon, or they'll always be B tier SBK riders.

I completely stand by my statement. If you don't find the BMW in every way superior to the Suzuki, then you gotta be one of those guys who thinks Ducati's MotoGP failures are just a ruse.

I think Matt Mladin & Ben Spies and the Yosh team here in the states would disagree. While the BMW has more potential than the current GSXR, as you stated they haven't developed it enough to finish a race strong enough to win. The GSXR on the otherhand, was completely dominate in the USA; now, I'll give you that they have never had the success in WSBK, but part of that are the riders and the other part is the team; I strongly believe that if Matt and Ben along with the Yosh team had gone to WSBK, they would have dominated just as well. I agree that Suzuki has "rested on their laurels" (mostly because they haven't spent any money, though their new 600 is doing well over here too); but BMW has yet to develop itself to show that it's "superior" in my book.

HEY!!! I resemble that remark!!!

Hey, here's an idea, lets hire the widely recognized best rider of the last decade, pay him a metic shitload of money, spend another metric shitload of money that we dont have on a racebike, dick around and act like we cant figure out what we are doing for a couple races, then spring our awesome shit on the world. Man this is going to be great. They'll never figure out our secret plan. This is going to make Honda soooo mad. That'll teach them. Smug bastards.

Damn straight! I am renting a PO box today for donations. The box will be small so any whining, speculation or picking of winners is discouraged. Just send money.. We can all sift through the BS here.

How would you like it engraved? I will expect you to apologize to the beancounters for your crass posting about lever guards. Totally uncalled for IMO. Groveling is accepable.. ;)

I never really caught up with MotoGP racing until I started riding and seeing how extremely talented these guys are on their bikes. Cars can drive themselves to an extent where the human being behind the wheel is one of many imputs to a great machine. But a motorcycle....the rider is the heart of that machine and thats what I have seen when I watch clips of motoGP. I'm still trying to catch up but I'm rooting for former world champs Nicky Hayden and Vale Rossi riding with Ducati. Is Ducati my favorite? No...I ride red with Honda but there is just an extreme line up of great talent this year that makes this season more interesting!
