...and yet Dunlop, with that spotless safety record, remains.

Impressed with Marco's ability to get that Yammie to turn, nice work, he's on the pace, and nice to see him back. Also like my man Haslam's weekend, not bad especially for a guy that went off to inspect the trackside groundskeepers work. Biaggi looked like he couldnt figure out what to do, or perhaps he was emulating what I would look like trying to run at Donington.

I'm with you on just about everything you're saying.

Dude, Biaggi had a seriously bad weekend... He didn't look like he knew which way was up. The commentators said he started last year the same way, I don't remember that, but maybe he needs a new pre-season regiment...

I have to say, that track looks badass, holy cats, the Melbourne loop and the esses opened up, man, I would love to try that. If he hadnt acted like such a prima donna I would have felt bad for Max, but hey, karma is a biotch

So all the profits...and pontificaters... where do you see Hopkins finishing in Jerez?

I'm hoping it is not the air fence.... guessing it will be ahead of Toni Elias and behind Stoner. Guessing he could get just outside the top ten.

Well shoot, that leaves him finishing ahead of ..........me bwahahahhahahaa. No wait, that would be assuming I could ride anywhere near Elias which only happens in my dreams.

I say he tucks in behind Nicky and lets him tow him home

I heard they were going to make them switch to a spec Honda 1200cc V4 with the DCT, so they wouldn't have to shift; then link the brakes to the foot peddle only, then they wouldn't have ANY levers, and that kind of thing could never happen again!

The return of Hopper to Rizla Suzuki is an accomplishment in itself. At this time a year ago, this guy was written off and considered not likely to ever return. What a difference a year makes. I really hope he does well enough to finish the entire race. Just to finish would be one of the better comeback stories in a long time. I wish John the best, he's a really nice guy and I think he has worked very hard to get back to this point.

Do they have them for benches too? Sales here would be brisk.

There are some riders that excite, and some that don't.... I put Hopper in the latter, for me anyway.

    Now, on Biaggi....
After all the hub-bub I have read, I finally saw the videos and, well.... I don't see what the big deal is all about?? That really wasn't even a "slap" as it was referred to in all the media. WTF is the big deal? He BARELY touched him. I don't speak italian, it would be interesting to hear the dialogue that went on.

In years past, riders were a lot more colorful than the corporate-speaking perfectly behaved groomed young professionals today. That color is what helps shape the landscape of racing.

People react in different ways. As much as today's society wants everyone to be perfect all the time, it isn't human nature.

You have to wonder if Biaggi was acting out not only because he wasn't having a good weekend, but maybe he thought his title defense would be a little easier... He is already looking at an uphill battle with Checa having 3 wins in the bag.

I'm liking Haslam also. He showed some salt in race 2, as he did all of last season with Suzuki. Now that he's riding the superior BMW, I'm sure that they will continue to work on the issues that the machine seems to have in the later stages of the race. The bike itself is already doing far better than it did last season when they would have competed for the championship if only the races were 12 laps. I believe that BMW knows they have their man and will keep doing the good work. Maybe not enough for the overall this season, but soon with Leon at the helm.
