Drove this Christmas and New Years in Germany. I did like the diesel Ford I had and could really not stretch it much over 200 kph as the roads had bad ice and snow. I have rented cars in Germany many times and never felt like I was not gona get to where I was going alive. I did rent a car once in Alaska and almost died though!. Come on mate! You dont have faith in my knee dragging abilities? kidding aside I have ridden into NYC on a regular basis when I lived in NJ and used to commute into Miami off hours on two wheels. Its dangerous but its like a junkies addiction. Pure passion, if I lost riding I would lose my indentity. Live to Ride,,,Ride to Live. I love the stories about the guys that are fathers now and their wives made them give up riding. Whats next, a snip at the ball sack?

This Christmas, nobody were out on their bikes! to cold... It's the fellow menbers of traffic community which I don't trust! I've done some long haul commuting my self, Oslo- Trondheim every weekend, in snow or rain on two wheels. The rental was it a Toyota Prius?

Yeh the level of skill is higher in your country cause it cost so damn much to get a licence there. Here any block head can walk into a dealership and get a rocket with little or no riding experience. We have weekend warriors here, they go out on the weekends and get liquored up and ride home hopefully. Not many bikes are out during the week. I have friends that race and dont ride on the street, I have friends that ride on the street and have no interest in racing. The racing I did brought up my skills and was the most fun you could have with your leathers on. Riding on the street was more enjoyable than the road racing for me though. I did retain a little mini racer so I could get a taste of it still on a cart track if the mood struck me. Cheers Mate...gota :bolt:

So, I'm riding back to the shop today at lunch, and I see an Acura MDX in the left lane. As I approach I notice the RF of the bumper is not right, then I notice that about 2/3 of the windshield is caved in including a rather gaping hole in the middle of the impact point. Stupid ass is driving the damn thing around like this, swerving all over her lane. Needless to say as soon as I got a hole I checked out :bolt: what a loooooooooooser

Makes me want one of these :chaingun: mounted under the nose of my ride some days ya know!!!!

Once while driving to visit my parents in FL, I was heading down I-95 in either GA or upper FL. It was nighttime and for once traffic wasn't too terrible on the interstate there. So I am tooling along in my M3 making decent time, in the passing lane because I was PASSING. Come up behind some large SUV (SUckers Vehicle), running not fast at all in the passing lane. No traffic anywhere near us at this point, and none to his right in either of the other two lanes. I wait for him to move over to let me by. And wait. And wait. So I give him a flash of the high beams. Nothing. Two flashes; nothing. Three flashes; same thing. My gf and I kind of start laughing now, wondering what kind of fool is either so ignorant or so conceited that they will NOT move over.
So I decide to see how many times I can flash my lights at him. I continue with a set of four flashes, counting out loud to amplify the humor. Then five, six... There is no doubt he can see my lights, its really dark and no other lights around. I am lighting up his tailgate and rear window like crazy. I can't remember if I made it up to 10 flashes or not... But I finally gave up! There was still zero traffic near us, and I moved to the right and eased by the offender, waiting to see who was in the vehicle and what the deal was.
As I passed, the older couple in the front seats looked over and we had to laugh again - they looked like they were horrified, and scared that maybe they would become a victim of some interstate road rage. My gf and I just laughed again...
Could they have not known the intent of my flashes? Could they not realize that "Slower Vehicles Keep Right"? Did people not move over back in the day, or flash their lights as such, and the older folk didn't know what I wanted? Laughable.

IMO you should have called them on your cell and at least asked what state you were in. Anyway, welcome to the genus level. Phylum Dano!

Well today I saw some idiot lady driving down the road leaned back in her seat with her left foot hanging outside the drivers side window. I'd love to see what she looks like when she is forced to slam on the brakes going 70mph.

I feel like I avoid accidents on a daily basis. Weather im in a car or on a bike.

The last wreck (that I could not avoid) : I was just minding my own business driving my Civic northbound down the street and some idiot was turning southbound form a parking lot to my right. Dude turned left and hit me head on! I hit my brakes but there was no avoiding this. The guy opened his door and continued to run down the street without any shirt or shoes on only to be chased down by the ambulance that just happened to be the vehicle behind me. I go to find out that he is a fugitave from california and has no insurance. His wife works at Mcdonalds and has 2 kids. Needless to say I just had to suck it up and lost a good car due to this parisite of humanity. STUPID PEOPLE SUCK

Just watched a history lesson re the "Irish Vs Americans" wars in early New York on "Ugly Americans" Episode 6, not so sure about its total historic accuracy depicting Leprechauns fighting Vampires.

hahah me too. so far my truck has a score of 1 mercedes g class(hit me infront of a chp), 1 chev malibu, 1 caprice, 1 chevy c10, 1 other chevy small thing. 1 ford f150, 2 toyota tacomas, 1 cadillac dts(my best one yet).1 toytoa corolla . and a blue convertable bmw.
anyones welcome to cut me off. i wont stop slow in my truck. its not slow. feel free to chase me.and you might get some smog just for the deed.
now on my bike i have been know to punch a mirror or two. maybe anger. maybe i should just ride the bus. but i feel the need to just sit and talk to someone and explain well minded of thier stupidity. you would be amazed at my responses. 90% are sorry i didnt see you. others are F u. actually talked to a cop who apoligized once(off duty).

now i spend almost all my time driving place to place. in my dodge ram. started doing a little subconsious research. i can get some one who wants to pace me at 70 to get to about 90 before the realize it. been doing this for about 15 years.
had a guy on i40 going about 97 for about 7 miles. motioned to look at his speed . he dropped back rather quikly.
from what i seem to get out of all this is once someone gets driving, its all muscle memory. i go here turn left drive 5 mile than right. get on the freeway. drive. etc.
the doze off in a relaxed state.god forbid something gets in thier way. try asking someone about a car they passsed. didnt see it? you were behind it for 10 minits. those who dont fit into the relxed/auto pilot syndrome just arnt very catious. just wont see a donut if put in thier faces.
in the end it means people are retards. plain and simple. if everyone had to drive a motorcycle befor ethey got thier lic. maybe it would be safer. but then 1/2 would die. and i wouldnt feel bad i just chaulk it up to natural selection.
i could go on for more but ill let it rest here.

    off to work.
officially 8 months sober today. still mean as a bull.

Try living just outside of Philly and having NJ and NY drivers on your daily commute. I see ladies doing their makeup, people eating food with two hands, etc., basically every day.
