Damn. That looks good. I want to see them mounted on your red VFR. I had the option to mount gold anodized CZ wheels on my red 2004 - would have matched the Ohlins shock reservoir! - but I wimped out and chose "Machine Silver" instead. I like the look just fine, but sometimes they look chromed! :(

Please post the final pics after mounting the wheels.

The more I look at these, the more I think you have made a huge mistake and will hate yourself if you mount them. Tell you what, because I am such a nice guy, I will take them off your hands before you sink anymore of your hard earned cash into this sinkhole. How about I send you my old scratched up and dented wheels and cover shipping so you'll not feel as if its been a total waste. Deal?

    Drool.

    04viffer, Those look great!
I'm very interested in undertaking the same project.
I already have a the rear rim ready to send off or bring to a paint shop but I don't know what I have to do to prep the front. Once the wheel is removed do you have to remove the rotors and such? Or do you send it off just like it is in your pic?
Did you mail order your rims or use local shop.
And if you don't mind, about how much did it cost?

I chemical stripped the rear as it already had four different colors on it and as for the front, it only needed a good scuffing. Yes, once the front wheel is removed it would be easier for the painter if the rotors where removed. I used a local shop that was close to me, maybe you heard of them J&B MOTO...

Negative ghostrider, the pattern is full...it is actually a mixture of two different golds and some extra pearl.. The main gold is a Aztec gold and the other is a special gold mixture that even I don't know whats in it. By itself, it is very bright so that is why we knocked it down with the aztec gold. It took us four times to get a nice not so bright and not too dark color, yes I have extra mixed up just in case. :)

Well, I was finally able to get everything mounted back onto the bike, so without further ado:

I'm really considering buying four Acura NSX black lugnuts to replace the stock chrome ones, they are only $5 at the Honda car dealer.

    Yeah, I like that.

You could even enhance matters with matching levers - and that Ohlins shock w/resevoir that you have always wanted
