Looking to replace/upgrade the grips on my '07, I think I want just a little more cushion. So what do you all think is the hot set up? Thanks.

The grips were somewhat of a problem on my Nighthawk, but I never did anything about them.
I seem to need/want a slightly larger grip to keep my hands from getting tired.
Grip Puppies are my present experiment on my VFR and after about 150 miles of use, I do think they are an improvement.
    A few benefits:
    1. Very easy to install since they slip over your existing grips.
    2. Very easy to remove if you decide you don't like them and your original grips will be undamaged.
    3. Cheap. Less than$10 shipped.
Here's a link to where I purchased mine.

I'm still using the ones mello dude recommended to me years ago. They are from progrip and the model is 699. Just a very simple waffle style grip that runs about $10. I think the last set lasted me 20k miles or more... They look like this: 0000_Pro_Grip_699_Open_End_Sportbike_Gel_Grip.jpg

If I could ask, are the Pro Grip 724s made in Italy?

I got those Red bar end weights for my Ducati 900SS a few years ago from a company called Slingshot Racing Jake. They are still available if you're interested.
You can either get them on Ebay (just punch in "Ducati bar end" on the home page and hit search) or you can get them on their home website at slingshotracing.net

The Red levers are made by Pazzo Racing Jake. I run them on all my bikes. Shorty brake-long clutch is my preferred lever combination.
Red anodized parts usually have a way of fading-out to a sort of soft pink hue when they're under constant exposure to direct sunlight but the finish on these levers is still holding up really well.

    LOL! ^^^^^

That "OH SHIT" handle mounted on the left clip-on of my RC51 is actually a thumb brake BWeiss,I got it from GP Tech L.L.C. It allows me to actuate the rear brake with my left thumb. The foot brake lever on the right side of the bike is hooked up so I can still use it if I choose to.

The thumb brake model you see on my RC51 is called the "Cast Master",it's three position adjustable for"mild","firm"or "aggressive" braking. This model will NOT lock up the rear wheel under braking. You can't get this model thumb brake anymore though,it's been discontinued. GP Tech however does offer two other models,a billet bar mounted version and a fork mounted version.

The "OH SHIT" decal on that thumb brake lever is there for two reasons BWeiss. 1.) I like to bring an element of humor to my riding,so each of my bikes has some visual form of tongue-in-cheek humor on display so that others can see it. On the RC51 that decal is it.
2.) The RC51 at times can be one of those "heart attack serious" kind of bikes, you need to show it respect because it WILL bite back if you're not careful.
The decal is also there to remind me that in my never ending quest to move forward, experience new things, and perfect my riding craft that everytime I choose to use it I'm about to.....GULP!.....step off the edge of a towering precipice into the unknown.

A thousand pardons for jacking your thread Oldrider. :sorry:

Ol KC grips all the time. The Vulcan Deathgrip is pretty cool. Dudes who don't carry a spare R/R with them at all times should get a grip.
