I'm surprised you guys don't have a BMW placing higher. Going off of Echo's list, I'd swap Corser for Lascorz, and Haslam for Smrz. I'm kind of expecting Sykes to get into the top 8 as well.

I am a MotoGP fan and look foward to the new season. Lots of changes and individual battles for this season. So far the testing has shown Stoner is gonna be fast on the Honda (he is already beating Pedrosa). So will this be the season that Honda riders seize the Title? What of the potential battles between Valentino and Lorenzo. Right now it looks like the Honda team is ready and fast. I am hopin Valentino is completely healthy and ready to compete on the Duc. Hopefully Valle will be able to help Ducati make some suspension changes - Valle has proven to me that suspension and handling outweigh concerns with horsepower. Funny how things work out. Vale used ride on the MotoGPHonda and Yamaha teams in the past and was also teamed up with Nicky Hayden in the past. Looking foward to some great racing with some ne faces on the podium.

The big news is that the second, of three, motogp tests is over and Rossi ended up 1.8 seconds off of Stoners pace. The Ducati has claimed another victim. Stoner is looking to be quite the rider right about now, as Rossi is struggling to come to grips with a bike that Stoner won on.

The Honda looks to be a devestating weapon as the top 4 times at Sepang were all Hondas....the Yamaha's were a second off their pace.

If you go to http://www.motomatters.com/ and click on Calendar in the menu bar, they have all the calendar's but AMA.

I too just go to Speed, click on TV Schedule in menu bar, then in the Search by Program box, I choose the middle Search by Category and select Motorcycle Racing. Other than all the SuperCross stuff, it'll list all three; MotoGP (and 2 and 125), WSBK (and WSS), and AMA (both classes).

Now if you really want a complete list, I have a Word Doc with all three calendars, AND Isle of Mann, the North West 200 and Formula 1... BUT, it's just their calendars, not broadcast.

ok, I took you guys advice, went to speed, found out the SX was on today and found it on the internet. friggen awesome SX main. I dont want to give it away, but I haven't been that excited about a race in a long time. If you have it TIVOd or whatever. , you wont believe the last few laps... Oh, and another bonus, while the race was on the announcers mentioned the free app from speed for the iphone. this app is awesome. all the schedule etc for motorsports is at my fingertips. short vid clips etc. just watched a clip about travis pastrana rolling his subaru in missouri. I'm diggin this app big time. Maybe I'll finally keep up with races!

So, overall in the paragraphs below my picks, I was better then the actual pics; Smrz, Lascorz and Guintoli were not ready for primetime (Smrz only cracking top 10 in first race, the other two didn't earn a point), Melandri did shock everyone, and Eugene did surprise.

Rea did worse than I expected, and Haslam did better.

Phillip Island is notoriously a "Duc track", so I expect the Ape's, Bimmer's and Yami's will do better as we go to other tracks.

Was much fun seeing racing again...

BMW did as expected, with the exception of Corser, WTF? Again, not a Kawi fan, but Sykes placed right around where I thought he would. I expect him to get better as the season goes. Max pulling 2nd, at a notoriously rough track for Aprilia, could signify a repeat. Aprilia has obviously improved on an already great machine.

Another place I found with a great TV listing of all things motorcycle: Motorcycle TV Show Listings - Motorcycle USA

This includes Superbike Family, the reality TV show with Larry Pegram's family... Which I missed the first two episodes, cause I forgot to set my DVR...

It's fun to post things on the Internet. You actually get to see your very own words right there on the computer. Of course, other people get to see those words as well, but they're just a bunch of dummies and the dumb stuff they're interested in is just dumb. Dumb heads.

Now I'll push the submit button and I'll get to see my cool post. This is great.

Is it too early to talk about Phillip Island? Surely everyone has seen it by now.

It appears that Checa has sorted his shit early this year. I believe I made the correct call concerning Rea's off track excursion in Race 1.

It also appears that the signing of Haslam by BMW is going to pay off handsomely, but there may still be a bit of sorting to do with Beemers. I sure love seeing them at the pointy end.

If they get the the Ape any faster in the straights it may break the sound barrier

I agree. Any speculation on the next World Series or the Superbowl? In racing, just like in anything else, shit happens and what one may want, is far different than what one sometimes gets.

Part of the fun too, is seeing one's own lists too however accurate or inaccurate they might be.

Parables and sermons are pretty cool too.

    Go Marmosets!

Seems Mad Max is able to take the heat now, second race was great.
In the old days you could pressure max and he would just crash, seems those days are behind him.

Surprisingly enough, this thread entitled "Anyone talking racing?" has for the most part been about racing. Bizarre to say the least, but that is just another of life's disappointments . As has been pointed out, what one wants and what one gets are often far from satisfactory.

I suppose it would be better to just avoid all discussions of all topics, since it would only lead to fun and entertainment, be counter productive, and allow disinterested observers the opportunity to use that expensive Jesuit education to see how snarky they can be.

I can put this is list form if it helps

322kph down the straight = 200.08mph, I am sold on the RSV4. I know that Phillip has been a Ducati friendly track, but I can't figure out why the Ape, with a 25kph top-speed advantage over the Duc, was coming in second. Kudos to Checa, that's a hell of a lot to overcome.

......or perhaps somehow convince possessors of rapier wits to use their powers for good and grace us with their insights on motorcycle racing. No doubt there's something noteworthy in there buried under that nastiness we all could enjoy and benefit from knowing.
