Some of you guys followed my Daughter's first bike, a mild custom 86 Yamaha Radian 600...

Anyway, since the she graduated Military Intel School in AZ, top 10% of her class, nailed a 364 out of 300 pt extended score ,Got a spot in Airborne School and orders to report to 3rd Special Forces Group at FT Bragg (dad still has contacts in his old field)...
Yesterday at Jump School.... she broke her foot. She's heartbroken. Now the future in unknown. Damn, this sucks.

Sorry to hear that Hub. But based on what we've learned about your daughter, she's a fighter, she's proud, and she won't let this get her down for too long. I'm sure she'll have a speedy recovery!

This is America, surely she can sue somebody over this LOL!

She's a smart girl so I'm sure she'll do just fine no matter where she ends up. Hope she heals up soon!

Bummer but she is still a spring chicken and will bounce back. Now if it was one of us at our age and we broke our foot they would have to put us down.

I broke a foot in my mid 40's. Well actually my boss broke it but that's another story. And I walked around on it for a week with an improper diagnosis. With the rehab I went through, I would have no way of knowing that I have ever broken it now. So I am sure your daughter will do fine so long as she does give it the proper time to heal and follow up with good physio. The problem usually is that in youth, they tend to think they are all OK when in fact, the healing process is incomplete. That is where the old man steps in Hubby. Good luck to her.

My cousin is 82nd Airborne. He injured his shoulder during jump school. The Army was extremely accommodating and was very patient while he healed. I was amazed. I am sure it will work out.

Yeah, More guys get hurt in gound week than any other phase. As of now her status is medical hold over. She was approched by a Black Hat (Airborne Instuctor) who told her that her dad was one of the NCO's in Recon Platoon in his Infantry Battalion... seem's like he is attemping to hide her out as long as he can in hope the stess fractures heal and she can go back in the class.
It's a fight between the NonComs that wanna keep her and the admin weenies.
