i hit a huge pothole last night and it brought me down. me and the bike got to go sliding downhill on this rough paved driveway. it pretty much sucked. i didnt get any major damage to myself, but my bike's fairing is all broken. i think the tail is fine. i dont know. the bike is a few miles from me right now, so... yeah, i dont know yet.
i couldnt get the bike started to ride home. i was told by a local mc shop owner that i would need to remove the spark plugs and empty the flooded cylinders. does that sound about right?

anyways, my tax refund check is due any day, and its time for a vfr fighter. im not going to spend a whole lot of money on some rough track plastics.
i have a question though. i have seen many vfr fighters on the internet, but none in real life that i could poke around with. i have a lot of wires all around my fairing. what do i need to do with all of those?

Glad you came away in one piece. Sorry about the damage to the bike.
There have been a thread or two here on fighter conversions. Have you tried searching for them? You should be able to Private Message the original posters for details.
    Good luck.

Bummer about the drop, most of us been there. I LOVE fighters, but I seen some great jobs on custom body swaps too, like CBR's. Best of luck to you. Best thing is you're OK.

my budget for the build is going to be pretty small.
i like the cbr body swaps, but no way am i shelling out that kind of money.
i liked my naked sv a lot because i could ride with more confidence. i know how much the bodywork on this bike costs and i dont want to have to replace it, you know? that has factored into a lot of my riding, i think. with the sv i went down at 80 and had to replace 1 blinker.

The accident must have been caused by that pesky 8-spoke rear wheel. Since I am such a team player I will give you a nice 5 spoke wheel to replace it with so you never have another accident again

Glad you are OK!! Keep us posted on your upcoming project!!

Sucks, sorry to hear about your busted up body work, I have hit a brick in the road in the past with my VFR and it was enough to knock my arse off the seat. No bent rim or anything, did bend rims riding ova rail road tracks in NJ in the past. Least your OK, be thankful,
