oh yeah its one of those silly ass participatory ship board night club things its the " lets see how stupid we can make our paying customers act while we fleece them for 5.75 a domestic beer"....... our cruise had a stupid scavenger hunt where the M/C would call out an item and it had to come from a member of your group.... he hollered for a double barreled sling shot and this lady in my group had her bra off and was on stage in less than 10 seconds.....

Sort of passenger participation but not in an entertainment way. A required acivity. And our beer was only $5.25 . They saw you coming. Now the single malt, that was another thing! Keep trying.
And those "souvenier glasses that are part of the landfill now somewhere WTF

OK first clue. Already discovered was that it was on a cruise, it was a Norwegian Cruise. And it was not a silly asses game played. But it was a saying by a staffer there to everyone who passes by.

And Pliskin. PM me with what you have. Interesting to see what you came up with. Or have you gone on such a cruise?

You're right on the money, Toe.

Here is what I had sent to Randy in a PM:

I could be wrong, but I believe that all passengers sailing are required to have their hands spray sanitized upon boarding due to the recent outbreak (Legionnaire's disease?) or whatever virus it was.

As passengers boards and stick their hands out, the crew (usually a diverse ethnic mix) is spraying their hands while singing the little washy washy song, presumably to make it seem "lighter", even though its quite a serious situation.

My Mom lives in Tampa, and cruises about 7 to 8 times a year. I was speaking with her yesterday, and aside from their initial departure leaving late, they returned to port at about 3 am (while most were sleeping) and required all passengers depart at 7:30 am (its usually 10 am to 1pm - depending). They needed time to sanitize the ship.

In addition - just as a footnote - you are not allowed to serve yourself. Even at the buffets. Everything must be brought to you. No salt or pepper shakers - the crew will bring you individually wrapped packets, etc. etc.

However, apparently the service at the buffet varies from ship to ship. Others have not had to go through the same experience I mentioned my mom went through.

    Hereyee, Here Yee, Here Yeah.

By the power invested in me as Presidential Prime Minister of this United Federal Republic of Randy, by God Almighty, let it be known, that on this Second day of February, in the year of our Lord 2011, at or near the City of Chilliwack, County of New Westminster, Province of British Columbia, Dominion of Canada, I declare Pliskin as.......oh fuck what was that now. Oh, the winner of this stupid riddle. God save the Presidential Prime Minister, his wife and kids, and Baxter the dog.

LOL, thanks Randy. It was an excellent riddle. As they say, timing is everything. Had my mom not just gotten back from her cruise and filled me in, I would have been clueless like most of the rest of the people on this board.

I've never won anything, and with your undeniable credentials, its almost like being knighted.

Cheque is in the mail. You should get it in about three weeks. It has to go though my UFRR export clearing house that scans everything leaving the Republic to ensure no National Secretes are being smuggled out of my mind.

For the record, Randy came through in sending me my $1 in Canadian Tire money. Its quite colorful and rather crisp. I only hope the crispness is not from him sitting on it.

One of these days I will post up a picture so that any of you non-canucks can envy me and the royal bounty I now possess. Keep diving for your Spanish Atocha treasure if you want, but I have the gold right here.

I needed to let everyone know that Randy is a man of his word.
