Did you know that the USA came out with a one dollar coin about 15 years or so ago that is almost exactly like our Loonie. Same size and colour but obviously a different stamp on it? The US Treasury just didn't have the balls to take it the next step and to stop printing paper bills. When our loonie came out seems like 20 + years ago, there was an uproar then but it died downs really fast. We also have a $2,00 coin as well to replace the $2.00 bill. They have been talking a $5.00 coin for a number of years now so that is coming too. Think they are taking the penny out of circulation in the near future here.

And the USA needs to do away with the penny as well.
