Can these things be cleaned or anything?

Mine comes on very slowly and incredibly late. (and on a few occasions not at all)

I figured since it looks like the previous owner had the tank coated it must have gotten gummed up or something.

Anyone have experience with these things?

I would try some solvent at the base to try to disolve the gunk as a test and go from there. If all else fails I think I can come up with one for you. Super Tex left a parts tank here and I saved the parts off it.......may turn into a hunt........looked for an hour today for a gen2 Ohlins and still have not found it.

If you happen to have a left main step holder that would be sweet.

    How does the sensor work?
Does tha lack of liquid touching the top portion of the sensor turn the light on?

    Can I test it somehow?

So I tried soaking the tip in Seafoam but it didn't help...that coating is on there good.

I eventually got a small threading needle and cleaned the 3 holes so they were free of the coating.....hope that helps cause these things are NLA from Honda.
