His one re-deeming factor is at least his Hardley has a carburetor. And he rides in Mess pants. Loud suits save lives. Live to Ride/Ride to Live.

hey wait just a minute, i own a harley and i want it known that it really is no match for my 2007 vfr or my 2007 st 1300.
and as your friend (harley rider) was probably drunk ( a fact you failed to notice) he was (as we say in texas ) talkin out his ass. anyhow just smile, put your helmet on and quietly motor away. Harley, 1940 technology at 2011 prices.

Having owned several Harleys over the last 37 years, including an old Ironhead sitting out in the garage. It's really pretty simple, and it goes like this; Not all harley riders are assholes, but if you asked any asshole what kind of bike they would own, it'd be a Harley.

Topic or not, every person should have one. If you know someone who doesn't, steer clear of them because they get mean, not to mention full of shit.

...A V-Rod gave me a reality check one time. Drag Race power and the ability to turn and stop are two different worlds though...

I think if Seemeedo posts a picture of his 2010 this site owes him an apology, But if not he was just messing with us and seems to have gotten the better of some here.

No offense intended Heros, but I for one will not be handing out an apology to a person whom with their very first post, on a sportbike forum nonetheless, stereotyped anyone that's had a negative experience with a Harley owner as a "wanna be kneedragger"; regardless of whether or not that person owns a VFR. There are certainly pricks on every make and model of motorcycle out there, and Seeme I'm not saying you are one, but experiencing negative encounters with some Harley riders is not exactly uncommon. Could it be, that in reality, some Harley owners are just plain arrogant d-bags and that somebody making mention of it is not a wanna be.

so owning a bike that is the bike that the forum revolves around is free reign to blast people. nope no apology should be offered or implied just because he "owns " a VFR.

lets face it, like Havacar said their are dicks that ride every style and model of bike out there. some of these dicks have multiple bikes of different ethnicity..( hondas, harleys bmw) so they are just super dicks all over the place.
I think since he hasn't reposted since then, I say a troll is a troll is a troll

Uh MichaelD, maybe YOU ought to re-read his post and stop sticking up for him just because you know a couple guys with Hardleys that aren't big a-holes (a rarity). Here's what he said:

"All the HD riders I know thier bikes are not the fastest or state of the art but they're still a nice ride and could care less what any other want to be knee dragger thinks."

If you can get around the grammatical errors he's calling us sportbike riders wannabe knee draggers (is a VFR really a sportbike by today's standards? Or do Hardley dudes just think any bike with plastics is a sportbike?).

I had more to say but every time I look at VFOURBEAR's avatar I just start drooling and forget my own name. :boobies4:

When I read what he said the first time I did not think he meant it personal to anyone, but after reading this again (and no picture of "his VFR") I retract my statement about needing to apologize. I am just sorry that the motorcycle community is so divided amongst ourselves and I wanted to give him a chance. We have enought to worry about with Fed, State and local goverments against motorcycling as a whole much less doing it to ourselves.

Yes, that was my reason for posting it. We were leaving work together. I was on my 6th Gen and he was on the V-Rod. We were making a left onto a long and straight stretch of road. He took off and caught me off guard. I immediately followed and he took off much quicker than I had thought was possible. I slowly but surely reeled him in. The V-Rod was quick out of the hole, but fell flat on top. I should also mention that he did have a fair amount of money into the engine (just like his CBR), so it was NOT stock.
