I need to change out the left running light on my 6th gen. but I have no idea how to get into the light assembly without "breaking" in. I'd like to order a bulb to have ready to install when I get it open. Does anybody have a part number? or a link perhaps?

I know lots of you guys have had to do this, any help would be much appreciated...

If infact your left low beam is out. Your bulb type is H7 it is a bitch to change out if you have a big hand.
Remove the dust cover, press the spring holding the bullb to the housing (The wire that hook into the little clip on the right) lift up the spring and swing the spring to the left.....The bulb should be free to remove from the housing

Here is another way to do it

I assume you're speaking of the LF marker/turn signal bulb. I think the way to get at it with the least disassembly would be to remove the little access panel just inside the light itself. I think it's a little easier to work on if you take of the LH fairing. I shall go consult the manual, stand by.

Holy Smokes dude!!! Put the hammer and chisel down and step slowly away from the tools!!!

To remove the running light/turn signal bulb socket from the turn signal assembly simply unscrew it 1/4 turn counterclockwise and the bulb socket will lift right out.
Prolly gonna have to remove the left fairing panel to gain access to the back of the turn signal assembly.

Honda part number for the bulb is 34906-MBB-611. It's a 12v 21w/5w bulb.

Funny you should mention the headlight, I just changed it yesterday. And you're right, it was a bitch to change with big hands so I had my girlfriend help.

But that's not the light in question. The turn signal/running light is the one that is out. The turn signal works fine, but the running light is out. Ever changed that one? The access panel is in by the forks, but I'm going to break it if I try much harder to get in without advice...

All lights on the bike are the same except headlamps and tag lamp. The bulb you are looking for is #7443

Wow! Thanks so much! I was looking inside the "wheelwell" and saw a little panel. Any way to get in that way? Or I just have to remove the faring?

Yeah you can prolly access the bulb socket through that hole without having to remove the fairing panel Bonecarver, keep in mind though that socket is held in there pretty tightly.
You DO know how to properly remove the little fairing clip securing that black panel without destroying it right?
    Hint-no hammers,chisels,sawzalls,or oxy/acetylene torches are necessary.

    LOL! :lol::lol::lol:

Nah sorry to disappoint you again Pliskin. My fairing panels have been off the bike and disassembled for over a year and a half now. Hopefully we'll be starting the paintwork on them in a couple of weeks.

Hmmm...so upon further inspection...the headlight is not burned out...the blinker works...but it stopped being a "running light"

WTF? Did I flip a secret switch?

Just on the one side? or on both. My turn signals like to not flash after the bike sat out in the rain. Once the switch is operated a couple times and dried out, they are fine. If the 6th gen is like the 5th gen, there is only one filament in each bulb. They are run in series for a dimmer running light(I believe) Pull the bulb and replace it just to be sure as they are cheap. If that don't fix it we will have to bust out the wiring diagrams on here to trace down the issue.
