Read My Post I Never Said Anything Bad about Anyone's BIKE, I just Like To Ride

You ride whatever you want I don't care. Joined this formum becasue I thought it was about owning and riding Honda VFRs, I guess it isn't about that at all. Like I have always said, "I don't care what anybody wears or rides."

    Ride Don't Whine.

Seemedo I read your posts and I dont see where you said anything insulting so I wouldn't worry about it. I have friends that only ride Harley s but are not egotistical butt heads. Most folks on two wheels dont care what you ride as long as you ride . WELCOME to the site.

I ride a Suzuki DR650 which hasn't changed a thing since 1996. Maybe everyone doesn't ride for the same reason as you?

I wonder if sports car convertible people and jacked up pickup people quarrel as much as Harley and sport bike people do.

I don't care what anyone says, nobody is getting me to ride a fat boy. A chubby chica maybe as long as she's over 18.

Harley guys wouldn't really bother me at all if they would lose their mantra "Why don't you get a 'real' bike". All they do is show what morons they are.

I couldn't agree with this any more if I tried. Two very close riding friends of mine have HD, and we give eachother a little shit here and there but it isn't the constant bashing of eachothers bikes. I have another "friend" who every time I see him he asks me when I'm gonna get a "real" bike. I tell him as soon as he can keep up with me in the twisties I'll think about it, funny he's never taken me up on that challenge.................

Whenever anyone says something along the lines of "...get a real bike..." to me in regards to HD's, I ask what they have (like I need to), unless it's sitting there, either way I simply reply; "Oh, are you a doctor or lawyer?" Then I follow up with, "They're still in business?" or "Oh, I thought John Deer got outta the motorcycle business?"

After they sputter about a bit, I finish with a little "When you're done with your midlife crisis, I hear the local sportbike dealer has test rides, wouldn't you like to know what it's like to stop and turn for real?"

Kinda like when a guy says he was "in the military" and I say "Which branch?", and he says "Air Force", I say, "I'm sorry, I thought you said you were in the military?"

I think Mr.Speedo or whatever the hell you're name is has a lot of nerve. I don't need to bother to check back and actually look at what you're name is because you have already proven to everyone on this site that you suffer from diarrhea of the mouth, my story was about someone just like you. "Wanna be knee dragger"? Me? Lol.. I will leave that alone, because it doesn't deserve an answer.. "Ride, don't whine."? U are obviously on the wrong site. You, Harley guys all seem to be the same, you all talk out of ur ass! Now, that's me running my mouth.. The next HD that I pass come Spring, I will do it in memory of you. Do yourself a favour and delete you're account and go somewhere else.. Later..

Several years ago, I was riding (different bike) on the highway (5 South) at a good clip, maybe 70 - 75 MPH. This guy on a Hardly passed me pretty quick, so I twisted the wrist and went to give chase. Caught up to him doing maybe 85 or so, as I approached he picked up the pace to keep me from passing, and I say a pretty serious wobble from his back tire. Actually concerned for his safety, I backed off to my previous pace. A few miles down the road I pulled over for gas, and he was coming uot of the quick e mart, as he passed me, he said something to me that I couldn't make it all out (I have really bad hearing and probly had an ear plug in), but hear "rice rocket" -- even though it isn't a Japanese bike, showing his utter ignorance. But by tone and cadence I could tell it wasn't positive. I just ignored it, finished filling up and went on my way. Since I pay at the pump, I was on my way sooner. A while later he started to come up behind me; as he pulled up even with me to pass, I slowly accelerated to keep him right next to me -- as I clearly had the faster bike. He stayed right in my 3-4:00 position in the next lane. Using the cruise control, I took my hand off the right throttle but kept tapping the accelerate button of the cruise with my left hand. So I am accelerating without him really knowing it and I can see the perplexed look on his face. He has on one of those Nazi style shortie helmets that have the slight flare at the bottom edge. It is scooping a lot of air at 90+ miles an hour and the strap is getting tighter and tighter around his neck as we go faster and faster. He is also clearly having a difficult time haging on against the wind at these speeds and his back end is moving around. But he keeps accelerating trying to pass me, and I keep hitting the accelerate button on the cruise. He is giving it all it all it has trying to show up my "rice rocket". Finally I tire of the game and it looks like his helmet is about to decapitate him, so I take my hand off my thigh give a friendly wave, put my hand on the throttle, and twist, quuickly accelerating to well over 100 and watch him dissapear in my mirrors. Then slowing back down to the 70-75 range. He never pulls up along side me again, but rather keeps his distance until he turns off.
