+1. I am not 100% positive, but I don't think you are gonna find a close/direct swap. discounting going to racetech or Ohlins or some other suspension specialty vendor, the only other way to get better suspension is to a front end swap from another brand/size bike, which can be time consuming and somewhat expensive. Search the forums and see what others may have done.

Cheers guys for the info. Had a result, fell upon a set of front springs(HAGON) brand new for £25, I had been looking into the VTR1000 front end swap, but money is tight, so going the scavaging opportunist purchase route.

Make sure the springs you bought are not progressive type as in the OEM. They don't work well.

I looked into doing a swap and when I got to sourcing the front end and pricing everything. it wasn't worth it. Unless you are going to get everything dirt cheap >$200.

Depending on the front end you want, VTR, R1, CBR 929, you are going to also need the calipers, wheel, rotors, triple tree ( whatever its called) and don't forget the brake lines.

I opted to get a set of springs from racetech and did the install in about a day between watching the baby and having lunch and runnig back to the bike shop to buy more oil.

I went for 1.0 springs for about $100.00.

If anyone is going to replace the springs get a size stiffer as the springs will eventually settle and you may not like it after the springs settle.

You do not need to replace the valves as the stock ones are very desireable. In fact, they are the same pistons that come in the Ducati 1098 and 1198 Showa forks. All you need is new straight-rate springs and different shim stacks. I think you'd find that to be an excellent setup.
