I Have A 1999 Honda Vfr And Im In A Motorcycle Club. My Club Is Always Talkin Junk About My Bike Because It Is A Sport Tourer, And Im Going Against Alot Of Racing Bikes.
I Will Admit I Push The Vfr To The Limit Cause I Love The Feel And Comfort Of The Bike And Im 6ft 4.
When Me And My Club Ride They Seem To Always Try To Leave Me, When We Jump On The Highway. I Will Admit When We Start Off They Get Out There, But Me And My Vfr Gun Some Of Them Down. This Leaves Some Of Them In Shock. I Wanna Know If I Power Command The Bike, Will It Give Me A Little More Power.

I Dont Want To Get A New Bike Cause I Love My Vfr, But I Cant Continue To Bring Up The Rear...

Can't say how much, does clean up, throttle response. Add a Staintune, K-N filter that will give a couple more ponies for ya thing here is to always be the lead bike then it's up to them to catch ya, it's what I do most of the time, they'll still be able too, but if you do it right it's always them catching up to you. For me as I'm the smaller bike most of the time I get it good lead before the twisties, they if its the case should be able to catch me but in the twisties now it's rider skill that is playing a big part then they'll be doing the WTF, were'd he go...

Having riden Reg71 99 with the power commander I can say you will be impressed! I have seem him come off a turn and over a slight rise and pull a 3' wheelie no problem.....I even got the front up by the twist of a wrist on a very small incline in 2cd gear! Diffently helps the power!

The power commander does make a difference, but you'll burn a little more fuel. I also run a 2bros slip on and K&N air filter. Straight lines, they'll always have you, but I dont go that fast in straight lines. It's boring. I save my riding for the twisties. Several of the guys I ride with are on liter bikes, and when it's tight and technical, they are no faster esp when you consider the torque of the VFR. If they get any straightaway or big sweeper, though, there's nothing you can do. I don't try to outdo them, I just keep up and then when they get tired and ready to go home, I laught and tell them I may ride a while longer. :)

If you are riding a VFR it is a logical premise that you aren't that worried about being in front in a strait line. Otherwise you would have a lowered Turbo'd out Busa' or a ZX14 or whatever. Don't fret reg71 is right, when they are twisting their wrists and standing on pegs you will smile right on by:yo:
