Living in Sydney know what you mean, have to study BOM.gov.au site to choose what days to commute by VFR. Still have managed to cease blocks of excellent weather to do 3day mid week trips north up the Oxely and down to the Snowys South in the last 2 months so haven't felt too badly done by, having 2 kids pretty much fills in any spare time I have.

Probably. But if they're anything like the rest of the aftermarket VFR parts, they'll cost at least 50% more...

I am going to get a pair and give them a try. But reading what they are constructed with, I don't hold a whole lot of confidence that they will stay dry in the longer rides. I think you pretty much need rubber gloves for that. Stay tuned

Problem with rubber gloves is that they dont breath well, after half an hour of riding in them your paws are gona look like prunes. You just gota say fug it and get ur leathers wet IMHO. I wont ride in the rain with my $200 dollar Held gloves even though they got one of those visor wipes on the left index finger  Aerostich suit i got leaks after a while in the crotch depending on what bike I am riding. Gota keep some extra clothes at work.

I just let my leather gloves get wet from the rain in warm weather, but wet gloves are no fun at highway speeds in the cold weather. They ice up, as do your hands. Need dry hands when it's cold out.

I will keep this in mind. If they are no better than what I already have, then they just may show up in your mailbox. I will PM you for your address when and if I get them.

I hear you Pap,installing goodies and taking care of routine maintenance is a great way to kill time.

I try to do any major work on my bikes in the wintertime. Keeps me busy. Since she didn't even leave the garage at all during the 2010 riding season I'm bound and determined to finish the work on my '03 VFR this winter. Lots of paint, mechanical, and detail work to do on it yet. I'm hoping to have her done sometime next spring.

With all the down-time we get around here during the winter it's always best to have a hobby. So if I've got no parts to install on the bike or I'm waiting on paint to dry I'll just go make some noise on my guitars. :guitar:

If I get tired or bored doing that I'll just head down to the basement and go burn off some steam in my gym.

And if that doesn't keep me occupied...... well maybe I'll just go build a snowman or something. :spit:

And finally,if none of those keeps me busy I'll just use the old standby. I'll go call up one of my buddies, head out to the local pub, slug back a couple of brewski's,talk bikes, and check out the women. :boobies3:

Ya know come to think of it Pap that last suggestion is good pretty much year-round.
