I just purchase this bike. I checked the wiring and the continuity readings between the coils were at 3.3. The spark plug wires were reading 24.7 and at the connector to the pulse generator was 470 all the wiring is leading to the ignitor is there any way to check for sure that it is the ignitor. The carbs have been clean and set just no spark in 2-4 cylinders any input would be helpful thanks.

Loss of the two cylinders is a good sign for CDI failure. Sorry. Had JTC'S bike do the same thing to me this year, had a spare for that one and just gave my last gen 1 away. Sorry.

Can't you test by switching the CDI units?

Oh, I see you already bought one on eBay. Tell us what the outcome is.

There are two CDI's , each runs two cylinders and is the reason for the red flag on the loss of two cylinders. One has a red plug and runs the fuel pump and the one with the white plug just runs the cylinders. They are located under the tail cowl with the light controller.

Yes I have located the modules and it is cylinders 2-4 and it's the red plug. But why I'm only getting spark on 1-3 if it only runs the fuel pump. I don't think you can switch them. So the waiting game begins for the module to arrive. Keep you posted working on the sled now... I hope snow not a four letter word.

So now I installed new plugs and charged the battery and changed the gas it will only run with the choke on full or halfway and very lazy throttle response it will not run at idle. I purchased this bike as a winter project it has only has 18,000km it has been taken care of. Now I'm confused what to look for now. Maybe timming.... the carbs look clean. HELP!!!!!
