To make your own frame like the original in steel is easy.
All you do is cut lengths of 1/4 thicK wall tube and weld 1/4 caps on one end.
Then drill the hole for the bolt. Make them 3 inches long ,you can cut them off later.
After you have all of the pieces bolted on the engine then just connect with steel tubing
!/8 wall DOM 1.25 diameter. Tig weld after it is all tacked.

Make sure the fit up is tight. Otherwise if it loose and you weld it it will shrink and could put a lot of strain on the engine castings. Make the tubes tap into place. Very important.

IMPORTANT: AFTER the frame is tacked and fully welded go back and re drill all the holes in the mounts about 1/16 larger and make sure you can put all the bolts in the engine and frame without tapping.

You can buy a HD steering head from Bitter End choppers . Get the fat one.

Then you can use any H-D style front forks you want. Or springer or telescopic forks.

Hard to see that swing arm with all that black plastic covering everything up.
The ground clearance is very high.

A good chopper starts with a good frame.
I would forget about that swing arm.
It is tying you into a lot of problems, and is defining the look of the bike before you even start.

It saves work to use the SSSA - but it will confine you in terms of finished look.
A chopper will never handle as good as a sportbike.

If you want "the look" you need complete control over all the design aspects.

It seems like what you really want is a street fighter with more rake.

Need to find out what you REALLY WANT. A clearly defined goal. We are kind of wandering around.

I see a V ROD in your future.

Maybe you should just put some chopper posters up in your room and look at those for a while and get the feel of the whole idea.
see if you really like it. Seriously.

He wants the look of a sssa on a chopper. I dig it. But ditch the alum frame. build your own receiver out of steel using the alum as a model

And someone has already shagged Katy Perry, doesn't mean I don't aspire to do likewise.

bikepics-643331-200.jpg This one is just about spot on to what I want to do! Any one have an Idea of a front end that would work and not break the bank too bad? I want the front wheel to be a five spoke that somewhat matches the 5th gen rear. Remember that I will have to cut the head off the VFR frame or make a new steel frame so any tripple set and fork is possible...

Just get the steering neck from Bitter End Choppers.

Then build the frame and the steering head. You can use most any front end.
Many choices price, brand, and lengths available.
