I'm surprised you went with the lawyer route, if you had just paid the fine I'm pretty sure that citation would have never reached your GA driving record since it was in another state.

It most certainly would have appeared on my GA record. I should know since the company I work for provides driving records, background checks, accident reports, and claims history reports directly to about 80% of the major insurance carriers. These are the exact reports that are used to determine your insurance rates. Whether or not it appears is based on whether or not the states in question have a "reciprocating" agreement between them. It varies by state but many do share info.

Man, I used to get pulled over all the time back in my little town in ohio. They would follow me around all the time lol. I've gotten pulled over once since in orlando. Guess the reason? I was riding up to a red light, stopped, and flipped up my visor to scratch my face and let some air in (one of those 100+ days in FL) and the light turned green. as i pulled away i flipped my visor down (maybe 10-20 seconds after i started driving) after being followed for like 5 minutes and on to 3 different roads i get pulled over. why? because i was driving with my face shield up. He says: *pulling out his little picture card* "you dont need a helmet, but you need eye protection, can i see your license and registration? so i give him my stuff and he stands there and runs my "license number". This was my ohio license and he was reading the wrong number.(i know my DL #) i kept trying to tell him but he kept holding up his finger as if to shush me. when the dispatcher came back on, she told him it wasnt coming back valid, he just said that it looked valit, so he'd let me off on a warning. WTF lol
