Hey just checking if anyone is using the Freeway Blaster Horn. Found a nice install article on the WebBikeWorld site. Checking if anyone has done the install this way on the 5th or 6th gen VFR. Check the link: Motorcycle Horn Relay - webBikeWorld

I recently installed a Stebel Nautilus on my 2003. It gets the cagers attention as I had an occasion about a week after the install to use it on a clueless driver drifting into my lane.

Yes there are quite a few people I know who have the Stebel horn. It is loud, but overpriced and does not fit where the original horn is installed. The Freeway Blaster is cheaper, louder and fits where the original horn is installed. Just my choice and imho a better designed mod to me since it costs less, fits better and is louder.

The Freeway Blasters are made by Fiamm. I use to sell these in my motorcycle accessory store

and everyone that bought them raved about them. In fact I ordered the nautical Fiamm horns for my boat.

    What a blast ~

    I highly recommend them.

I was able to fit it where the original horn was. As far as which is louder, I've never compared the two. I don't know anyone who's installed the freeway blaster, but I would like to hear them side by side.

Hey thanks for the correction on the Stebel horn fix. Both horns are loud enough so it is kinda splitting hairs over which is louder - does not make much difference. Trying to check if anyone has used this product and if it poses less of a potential electiral problem. I have been through enough with the RR and Stator issues on the VFR and take no chances with electrical mods.

You're absolutely right, I didn't mean to hijack your thread and take away from what you requested.

The wiring should be the same for either horn. I have it wired through a relay switch which I believe is a must have item. Although I don't think you need to spend the extra money on a relay harness kit, you can buy a relay switch at the local auto store for a few bucks as well as the wire. I have not experienced any electrical problems associated to the horn install and I have done this to both of my bikes.
