I love the VFR but one of the first things I noticed is that my legs were cramping up, sooner than on my CBR for long rides. My friend said to look into Buell Uylses pegs, because they fit and they will drop them about an inch, which is said to make a big difference. Any ideas?

The Buell remedy is by far the cheapest. I just ordered a footpeg lowering set from Twisted Throttle, but they are a bit pricey at 170.00 for the set. U need to order three separate pieces to make it work. I ordered the 30 mm kit which drops the footpegs about an inch and a 1/4. You can also rotate them forward as well, which is a nice feature. I'll post up when I get them.

I added the Buell foot pegs and it made a huge difference (1" drop). I also added Helibars (about 1" up and 1" back). I take 200 to 700+ mile a day trips and am still able to walk afterwards, though my head's a bit fuzzy sometimes, but that's another issue.

I'm trying to figure out how to add some removable highway pegs for those endless all day rides on the slab that are needed to get to where the good stuff is.

I usually reach back with my feet, drop the passenger pegs down, and place my feet on them. I think that is the best you are gonna get for highway pegs on the VFR.

    N0520.1ad and N0521.1ad from Buel around $34 + shipping.
They will not fit out of the box and you need to file them narrow. I used fart powered sand paper - read my hands and it worked well. will make big improvement over stock. Vibration, if any on VFR, is the same.

You could always try to find some frame sliders that would look good and give you a bit of stretch. Not realy hiway pegs but at least it's a different place to put your feet momentarily, plus they are frame protectors in a drop.

I have frame sliders and rest my calves on them to stretch my legs. I'd still like to have a way to stretch my legs out in front of me with my feet on pegs, though

Thanks for the replies! I will be looking into this for next season. In the process of packing up for the season, seeing as how my job changed, I won't be able to get out in November as much as I would have hoped.
