I think I got it right this time. Today I went to New Hampshire and picked up an 05 Silver VFR in excellent condition with some mods from a VFRD member. I rode the bike back to NYC and had a blast. The person I bought the bike from is a really great guy and a new friend. He took excellent care of the bike and has the bike setup perfectly. Oh yeah the bike has a stock seat which is good for me lol. My new 6th Gen VFR does have nice power down low and does really move - got ContiMotion tires that are almost new and feel great. No problem with this one - I think the other 6th Gen bike I bought had a bad clutch or a tranny issue. The 6th Gen bike also feels a lot more planted or stable at low parking lot speeds than my 5th Gen VFR. Today was a really great day for me and I feel extremely fortunate - made a new friend, got a bike I really wanted, had a great ride and got home safe. I will post some pics soon.

I'm glad to hear that you're liking the 6th Gen after having a 5th. I owned a new '99 and I loved the bike. I was initially hesitant to move to the 6th because of the bashing that it was getting, but I'm glad I did. For me, the bike is a better fit. I hope this will be a keeper for you. Congratulations.
