    Hoblick:

Helibars raise the grip approximately 1.25" up and 1.5" back. At that you are at about the limit of the throttle cables, so no other bar is going to do much more for you without getting you into the new cable/hose territory.

The good news is that this seemingly small change is VERY apparent riding; it makes a huge improvement in comfort. When I first got my lovely red '07 last summer my right wrist would be modeately sore/stiff for a few days after a ride as short as an hour. The combination of Helibars and a Throttle Rocker have solved this. The Throttle Rocker (Home page) is a big contributor to this; it allows you to ride with a much looser grip on the throttle which is very good for your (or at least my) wrist.

If you go with the Helibars, for heaven's sake be sure to check out Ottrods terrific magnus opus on their installation:

Pay particular attention to skidmad4x4's comment in the chain about how to remove the handlebar damper weights; that's the only portion of the job that is a bit of a PITA.

Good luck, ride safe, have fun

i actually bought the lsl superbike handlebar kit..
i like it alot puts me up and back a bit and its a nice feel.

had to reroute cables and lines, but didnt have to buy any longer cables or anything

i have enough cable and line play to even come up and back a tad more if i want.

Looks good! Does it provide the increase in comfort you were hoping for?

It looks like the bar provides a nice secure mounting point for the GPS. I've got my Garmin on a stem mount which is a little wobbly.

Without meaning to hijack the handlebar thread I do have two other questions about your bike:

    1. Is that a Zero Gravity SR windscreen? If so, how do you like it? I'm looking for a dark smoke screen for my red 07 in the stock shape. I've read elsewhere that the ZG is more flexible than the stock sceen. Does this manifest itself as any kind of vibration while riding?

    2. Is that black/silver color scheme on the tank custom or a stock Honda scheme that was only sold in Monaco and Nebraska? It looks terrific.

    Be safe, have fun
