85 VF500F Shock Options

    I thought I'd post this if anyone is interested. Dave Quinn Motorcycles has Hagon Mono shocks in stock that fit the VF500F (and a number of other bikes). Base price is $394. I can't afford any of the current options but I thought I'd post this in case anyone else is looking. The monoshocks can be seen here:

    Didn't mean to brickbat your post!

    I very much appreciate the research.

    I do think the F4i conversion is the way to go, based on what is currently available, but it is always great to have options.

    On the F4i - I would recommend going with a longer hose to allow for more options when mounting the reservoir.

    Length and diameter for the VF500 don't lend it to using a 929 as an option like later generation?

    valving, springrate.... what's different between the 929 and the F4i?
