Gold Valves with the High Frequency Race Rebound valves and springs will fix the stock forks. Swapping tubes to delink the brakes seems odd to me.....the linked brakes are better than what most folks let on about. If the argument is trail braking, the linked brakes are capable of that.

Not getting back into the linked brakes arguement. It's been covered enough. To each his own.

No. If you just want to add rebound adjustment, I think you can swap out the internals with the CBR600F3 and maybe the Superhawk. I've never tried. My main goal is always to ditch the linked brakes. My last 5th gen I swapped the whole front with an F3. This one I just did the forks.

so you can swap out the stock internals of the forks from a CBR??? and still use the VFR tubes???
will this work on a 6th gen as well???
I just want more adjustment, I will do the springs and valves, but would like to have comp and rebound adjustment.

6th gens are 43mm. I don't do the VTECs, so I don't know. No offense. You might try F4i forks?

That is the stock fender. I just bought strips of aluminum form Home Depot and shaped them for brackets. Easy, cheap and light weight.

I saw that thread where the guy paid hundreds for brackets, but what's the point? Anyway, I ran the VFR springs and heavier fork oil. It handled great for me, but everybody is different. At worst you have to get the revalve kit. It is the stock front wheel and rotors. You only have to put one washer between the calipers and the forks to space it properly. Everybody thinks this is way more complicated than it really is. Just do it.
