I'll be 47 in September...my 39 year-old wife has a 450 Honda Nighthawk and absolutely hates the look of a sport bike.

Needless to say...we never argue over who is riding which bike!!!

I'm one of the younger ones here @ 30. Started with an 02 Shadow 750 ACE. Sold that about 2 weeks back. Pretty close to purchasing myself an 03 VFR. We'll see how that goes :)

The VFR is a bike that spans all age groups. I'm a youngin at almost 22 and bought the VFR cause i wanted a sporty bike that i could commute, tour, and have lots of fun with. Most squiddly college kids get confused when they realize my honda isn't a CBR of some sort. Then they ask why wouldn't i just get a sport bike. Their tune changes when i tell them to sit on it and see how comfortable it is. When i got the bike this summer i thought, theres no way i'll be riding a bike like this in X number of years. After logging 2k miles in two months, I do believe interceptors will be my ride of choice for years to come. To the more "seasoned" folks on this forum, I look up to you as role models and always will. Keep the viffers rubber side down and enjoy the ride for many years to come.

Ok - you are only as old as you think you are.....

Been riding for 40 years (my own machines). Rode full tourers for most of those years.

Bought my first VFR at age 50 - love it and just turned 26000 on that machine. Bought my CBR1100XX at 55 as a retirement present to myself. Just picked up my 2nd VFR (a pearl white 93) and I like it better than my 97 VFR.

So, I think am just old enough for these wonderful machines.

I'm 64 and just got my first VFR. When I get to 70 I may celebrate by getting a full-on litre sportsbike.
You are as old as you feel, and most days I feel about 19. Briefly, until I try to do things 19 year olds do. And not first thing in the mornings, then I feel about 106.

Just so you know - not everyone that replied is male.

The 93 I just acquired was purchased from a 75-year-old gentleman and he still rides and maintains 10 other vintage and modern machines.

Too old to ride a VFR????????? I think NOT.

Hi Folks, i have to jump in on this one!! At the ripe old age of 67 i feel it's my duty to speak up. I currently ride a 96 VFR a 90 FJ1200 a 03 HD Sportster Sport and a 78 BMW R100/7. Been riding since 1962. I've owned several "sport bikes" including a 78 Kawi cafe(Z-1R),83 VFR ,93 CBR900RR,98 Honda Super Hawk,99 Suzuki TL1000 and a 01 Yamaha FZ-1. I've also had a 02 GL1800wing and a couple of FLH Harleys. I've enjoyed them all. Ride Safe Paul (mosickledude)
