    Hi all,

    What happened to this website?

Yesterday I could not get in.

This site was not available on the internet.

A friend of mine in Oregon said it happened to him also.

Gremlins? Should I install a new Regulator in my computer?

While Tinks post is certainly true, I believe that the sites R/R finally failed.

I dunno WTF is going on with the website Bob.

When I try to connect to VFR World using Mozilla Firefox all I get is a black screen that says "Iskorpitx Turkish Hacker Welcome to all the World"

When I use Internet Explorer I can connect to VFR World no problem.

    Anybody else having that problem?

Martha Stewart and The DOnald have banded together to start a new Reality Internet Program about Scooter Hooters and found that VFRWorld poses a threat to the success of this program. We were processed, pickled, jamed and FIRED!

Finally, a question that i might have an actual inteligent response to. even though i still cannot spell.

    explination:
The internet is a large network of computers. when you access a website the dns system (dns = domain name system = vfrworld.com = a domain) finds the address of the server the website is stored on. once it knows that it requests the website and the website is copied to your computer.

    however,

in order for data to transfer from one computer to another the electricitity that consists of the data MUST travel a phisical path from the server, to your computer. there are several routers around the world with insanely fast connections to the internet, mostly owned by att and other isp companies, as well as some universities. these routers build a cache of ip addresses to remember where they are and where data needs to be sent to get to where its going.

when you visit a website, that data is sent from router to router to router to router, each router getting it closer from the server, to your computer. for example from my computer to vfrworld the data had to go through 13 routers or servers before it gets to me.

    answer:
sometimes, not often, but sometimes there is an error in the system and a router doesent know exactly where to send the data, and the data gets dropped. basicially the path the data went from vfrworld to you ran into a dead end, whereas the path it went from vfrworld to tinker didnt run into a dead end.

its rare because if a router does not have a path to where the data is going, it just sends it to its default gateway (its main connection to the net) and the data bounces around from router to router untill it finds a path to where its going.

this usually only occurs when a major part of the internet backbone is changed and has to rebuild its cache. for example if a few servers in att goes down or needs to be changed or somethign to that effect. it could have been your local isp having a few issues.

either that or bush did it out of anger because he doesent have the testicular fortitude to ride a vfr.
