My clutch has started to slip and so I need to replace the friction plates.
The OEM parts list on one website says there are only 2 required? IS that correct??

Any way if you have some to sell or you know how many friction discs are required please let me know .Thanks

OK...I checked my shop manual and it show 6 friction discs.

Are there any "known" issues with the spring?

Not sure what shop manual you have. The micro fiche shows 9-frictions and 8-steels. Also #14 spring. When I replaced my clutch in my 750 I replaced all 3 parts. The spring will loose tension, supposedly. My frictions were hardened not really worn and the steels had a small amount (.012) of warp to them. I measured the frictions and the new ones were only about .001 thicker. Don't think I even bothered looking at the spring, just replaced it.
