We could always just show up at his door and light up a bag of dawg shit then ring his door bell and hide behind a bush or something.

The days of having cool cars is quite over. When I was in HS, the dude with the Grand National was the MAN. Now, the kids want a Civic with a muffler the size of a 5 gal paint can. You ride a bike so you build up a supply of cool points to use as you see fit. Since you deduct cool points for riding in a tin-can of a car, my advice is to ride as much as possible.

Who cares? The crazy bastard will be back under who knows what silly alias so until the tree falls on him & puts him out of his own misery, we're all stuck with his drivel.

I'm in Jersey. You're in Canada. I'm not getting involved. I've watched enough episodes of "Locked Up Abroad" to know when to stay out of someone's business.

Drink heavily for about 6 hours. When you wake up, if the aliens are still on your eyeball, start worrying then & get back to me.

    1) A friend has a Gorilla alarm on his R6 & loves it. It pages him if his bike is tampered with. Lo-Jack works on motorcycles as well.
    2) I don't believe in GPS's. Half the fun is the journey itself. Some of the best times I've had on a bike involved asking locals how to get home from somewhere. If you need to use GPS, get a tank bag with a clear map pouch on it & put it in there. No mount will be necessary. If you do get a GPS, I know Garmin makes one specifically for riders. I don't know which model, though.
    3) I refuse to listen to music when I ride so I have no intelligent input to headphones. All the music I want comes from the motor, exhaust & nature.
    4) Used/Ebay is your best bet. Honda stuck with a lo-mount pipe so you could still use aftermarket soft bags. Try that with a hi-mount pipe & you'll probably set the bike on fire.
    5) I think the throttle is just something you have to deal with when you own a VFR. I am used to it since I've owned the bike for 10 years. I do believe PC's help a gret deal. The expense is a large deduction in MPG.
    6) ThrottleMeister.
    7) I've used Pro-GRip 724's for the last 10 years & like them. Another key point is a good pair of gloves are worth 10X more than the best grips you could ever buy.

Yes, this whole nonsensical "conflict" needs to end. It depresses me every day to read about it. The only thing I can say is to be proud of your daughter & make sure she knows her family loves her.

I'm not one for office gossip. On the flip-side, cleanliness is next to godliness. On the next flip-side, you need to exercise your immune system every now & then. Don't worry about it.

George Carlin never gave me the answer & now he's dead.

    1) I hope you're joking. If you're not, you REALLY need to educate yourself a bit more about bikes.
    2) If you're not joking, get a new tire, NOW. If the rear has more than 3000 miles on it, get a new rear too.

It's this simple. The majority of the world thinks HD is the ultimate bike. Get used to it. I don't like them & really can't see anything changing my mind. That being said, I am smart enough to know you can't argue with a religious fanatic. Since the whole HD thing boils down to being a cult, you or I aren't changing anything. Take pride knowing you got twice the bike for half the money. Then outride them & listen to the cult member bleat: "My bike wasn't made to go fast."

I can't believe your afraid of Canadian jails though. They're like 3 star hotels and let you out every day for walks.

    :bravo:

    Good stuff......

Now for my question....After blasting a BMW S1000RR around Thunderbolt track for two days this week at Code School, Im now reluctant to even get on the old 5th gen for fear I'll think it such weaksauce that I'll hate it....Any suggestions?

This one is way too easy. Have one of each. Using a 197hp that has reflexes like a cheetah on crack is like using Jack Daniels Single Barrel as paint thinner. Have the BMW for the occasional weekend blast & track days. Rely on the 5th Gen for primary use. While the 5th Gen makes an ADEQUATE sport bike, it is by no means anywhere near the PERFECT sport bike. From what I've seen, read & heard, the S1000RR is about as perfect as it gets for a street legal machine. Besides, having more than one bike is more fun.

I have 2 questions for you:
    1) Thunderbolt Raceway in Millville, NJ?
    2) Which level of Keith Code's CSS were you running?

    1. Yes, Thunderbolt at Millville

    2. Completed levels one and two at the two-day camp Sept. 8-9

I wrote the question as a kinda joke, but you are of course absolutely right, having the old 5th gen parked right next to a shiny new S1000rr in the garage would be my version of a perfect world, so now I must figure out how to achieve it. I can think of worse goals for a guy to have. HEEHEEHEHHEEEE

Hope youre starting to heal up and feel a bit better KC......

If I didn't hurt myself, I would have been at the CSS that weekend too. Pity.

My ideal set up would be my 5th Gen & a Ducati Monster S4RS. The StreetFighter is tempting but borders on being freaking unreal. It's about as practical as using a 50 BMG for deer hunting.

Didn't you ever watch "Austin Powers" movies? I think they covered it in depth. That is all.

Get new tires. Right now. I was not being sarcastic. You are endangering yourself if you continue riding on these tires. If this is a joke, it's really not funny.

Just so we're on the same page, here it is again: Get new tires. Now.

    Dear Dr KC,
Long time listener, first time caller - Love your show!!
My 6 year old son's first tooth fell out today (actually he pulled it out). I was wondering what is the going rate for the tooth fairy?

I sleep with a Ruger GP100, 357 Magnum, adjustable tritium sight, 6" fully shrouded barrel revolver loaded with Federal Hydra-Shok hollow points on the night stand. That being the case, people don't break into my house & sneak into bedrooms. So, I have no clue what the tooth fairy's rate is these days. I say give the kid a $1. I personally think the whole Tooth Fairy thing is pretty stupid to begin with. One of his baby teeth fall out? Give him a book on oral hygiene so his fangs don't cost you a fortune when he's a teenager.

    That is all.

    Dear KC:

While checking myself for testicular cancer. I found out I have two balls of brass. I also found out later that in stormy weather I can strike them together and lighting will fly out my ass. It doesn't hurt at all. Should I be concerned?
