The weather network called for thunderstorms 2 days in a row and it hasn't rained a drop yet. In fact it turned out to be 30 degrees and sunny today. I'm pissed for losing valuable riding time and want to hunt them down and make them pay. Do you have any leads?

I was looking at the clouds and then I saw what appears to be aliens living on my eyeball. Should I be worried?

 

OK, I have some serious questions. I'll assume that since you have time on your hands, you'll be a bit lenient if these are frequently asked. Some of the threads on these subjects are pretty old, anyway, and I'd like to get some current information:

Salient details:

- '00 VFR800
- heli bars
- mirror extenders
- outlets on fairing for electronics & heated clothing respectively (see profile for more pics)
- Givi tail rack mount for hard case (not sure if it will accept side cases)

In the spirit of "ask KC-10 FE", I request recommendations on the following:

1. alarm system

2. best way to mount Zumo 660 GPS

3. good in-ear bluetooth headphones

4. currently available at non-ridiculous (< 1/3 of the bike's blue book value) high mount exhaust. how the hell Honda decided to cover the wheel with the exhaust is beyond me... defeats one of the major (if aesthetic) benefits of having a single-sided swingarm in the first place.

5. after riding the bike for 6 weeks or so, I find the throttle to be extremely sensitive. is this just a characteristic of V4 torque, fuel injection, both?? or is this something that the power commander I read about can smooth out?

6. cruise control: mechanical lock vs electronic control? when the weather cools off a bit more, I plan to do some touring. there will be stretches of flat, straight freeway (this is Texas) mostly on the return leg to save time.

7. the stock grips are a bit narrow in diameter, and I have big hands... recommendation on some thicker grips? couldn't hurt if they are heated as well.

I have been riding my VFR for the past 8 weeks w/ a screw in the front tire.
Should I worry about this??
