    Yay for disposable income!

Picked up the following grocery list
    Sgt seat in black $450US
    Heli bars $315US
Knight LLC lowering pegs $95US(yes my knees hurt like a sunuvagun on my daily commute to work, hoping these help)
    Givi T437N tank bag $203cdn
Ebay'd a 3 case set of VFR Givi luggage $630US (E45 top box, 2 E35 side boxes and Wingrack 2)

Also picked up some proper riding gear
Joe rocket Ballistic 10.0 bright orange jacket and pants $473cdn

Tack that onto the new set of tires, chain and front brake switch... $893

I think i've managed to drop a little over 3300 into my 98 and i've owned it just over a month now! Damn, I never tallied it up till now :S Hope it's all worth it in the end!

Thinking that with all these ergonomic mods, i'll not have to deal with knee pain and a brake foot that falls asleep on the ride to and from work. Tried all sorts of different seating positions too... Its weird, I can take the pressure off my arms/wrists and shoulders and my knees start acting up, then adjust, and the lower back takes a hit, adjust again and then the shoulders and neck start to ache. I think im a little too big for it, have 36" inseam and my knees don't like to be stuck in any bent position any length of time.

Next thing to pick up is a warmer set of gloves, last week was freezing at 8C in the morning, this week is almost 30C in the morning. I'll have a busy end of September putting all these bits and pieces on. I'll post pics when the time comes for installs.

Very nice! If you have any cash left over you should get some upgraded mirrors for your bike and ditch the condom styled mirrors.

Congrats on all the purchases. As Rollin said - If you have any money left over. Check out a set of heated grips. They really take the edge off if you get caught in the cold

+1 on the heated grips, Warmer gloves tend to be bulky and difficult to ride with. They are also something you have to bring along if you think the weather might get cold. I've got my eyes on the oxford heaterz from twistedthrottle.com I probably wont actually get them til i freeze my hands for the first time...

Congrats. No experience w/cold riding here in So Cal! Wow you spent quite a bit! Is that more than what you spent on the bike? I was considering a 5th gen when I got mine, but finally decided the '07 was for me!!!

So where exactly are you merc. I ride year round here on the west coast. Cept if there is snow on the ground of course. I do not have heated grips and have no intentions of getting them. I have nothing against them. I am just satisfied using a winter wagter resistant glove int he winter. But yeah. COld hands suck. How tall are you. There are a few tricks you can do to give your knees a break on the longer rides. I stand on the pegs from time to time. I also keep my rear pegs down and sling my feet over them from time to time as well. Works for me. I do have lower back issues that do not seem to be agrivated by this bike at all. BTW, I have no add ons.

And your ride set up just the way you want it, PRICELESS... add that line and you could have one of those Visa commercials.

Sounds like some nice accessories. I've used the dual star heated grip kit for about 8 years now and it still works like new, I've even transferred it 2-3 times as I got new bars. Well worth the $35, keeps your stock grips and you don't know they're there until you need them, then they're priceless. Link: Heated Grip Kit

    I'll look into heated grips

I'm not overly concerned about the rubberized mirrors. They don't do anything for or against me. I use em just to see whats behind me and im not really in for looks, I prefer something more functional than anything.

34468 Randy: Im in Southern Ontario up in the Georgian Triangle (about 3 hours north of Toronto). Lots of lake effect snow, lots of lake effect rain and so on. Depends on which way the wind blows determines how warm or cold it will be or how dry or wet.

I'm 6'2", 36" inseam. My biggest problem is normal everyday posture. I've got a desk job where im in a computer chair and as a result, my posture is a little slouchy. So i've been working on straightening my back and workstation to help overall posture. My neck is what kills the most when riding and pretty sure it's tied to sitting all day in the wrong position for the last 8 years.

Sgt Seat is on there now and it is much different than the stock in terms of how it feels and how you sit. Your upper legs are more parallel with the ground than on the stock seat and I find it is a bit more comfortable in terms of my butt and my brake foot (No numb foot so far). I'm hoping with the 1" drop on the pegs, it'll relieve a bit of the bend on my knees.

Can you explain how you are able to hook your feet over the passenger pegs? I don't see how you can bend your legs like that to fit?

As for cold weather...I've borrowed a pair of winter riding gloves from a friend, so i'll decide if I like the feel of them or if I just want to go for heated grips. We'll see next week when the weather turns a little cooler in the morning again.

Oh and I have spent almost as much as what I paid for the bike in accessories! I think that's nuts! But it sure is a lot of fun
