I am selling my collection of parts along with my bike. Before I show the bike and parts to people on the weekend, is there anyone here who needs anything? I could put stuff aside so potential buyers don't see it.

I have too much to list, but here are a few:

    New OEM rear sprocket
    Seat in excellent condition
'86 Rad (on hold for someone on forum)
    A few sets of coils.
    RR or two
    3 wiring harnesses
Two CDI pairs (one is "84 the other not sure, maybe 85, but not 86)
Several forks (too heavy to ship from here though)
Gemini Slip-ons (will require two mid pipes from collector to slip on)
White front fender with brace mount
    Stock collector and headers
Several sets of calipers is various condition - rebuilds likely required
Speedo / Odo with 35,000 miles (yes, US version)
    Misc cables (used)
    Various engine parts (used)
One pair of '84-85 heads (valves removed, need cleanup, rockers look good)
Misc used valves and springs in various condition
    Rear shock (condition unknown)
    1 million other pieces

I will sell to members for going ebay price or less if you are nice...

ACT FAST. Once a bike buyer sees the stuff they will expect it.

If the bike doesn't sell in the next week I will seriously consider it. It's about the timing of when I can get my hands on some stock parts and also effort vs. profit.

You don't happen to have a gas tank with a good inside do you?

Also, what about Spark Plug Wires?

If either, how much shipped to 66503?

    Thanks
    TJ

My stock pipes should be off the bike this weekend, I'll have to see about getting them down to you assuming I don't decide to keep em...

How far are you from Hawksbury?

It's a good hour each way. Is that as far as you are going? Two hours driving and the hassles of trying to get the rear headers swapped and money for your stock cans probably doesn't make much sense for me. Not much return on investment. I really appreciate your offer though. Mobtown, I know you really want them, but I really don't know how to simply get at the rear header inside bolts with the motor in the frame. Seems like a lot of work.

    No tank, sorry.

I do have some wires. I think I have a set of NGK and a set of stock, but no guarantee that they are in great shape. I will have to dig through them. I don't thing the shipping should be much. They are pretty light.

Misc. spark plug wires. One of the short ones has a bit of visible bend wear, but was still working. Note: of the long ones one is longer than the others. One has an NGK cap. Make an offer.

Gemini slip-ons. They need a bit of cleanup and a repack would be a good idea. They will also need mid pipes fabricated/cut between them and the collector. Make an offer! Shipping will be lots from Canada to USA, so I won't sell them for too much. Best offer over $60 by the end of the week gets them.

I will get back to you about the seat soon. If I sell the bike with the seat cowl than the seat will be available. If I sell it without the cowl than I will need it. The cowl requires small holes pierced in the seat that look funny without the cowl. Give me a week or so to see what happens.

Google "motorcycle exhaust repacking". Basically, the insulation in the cans deteriorates over time and should be replaced periodically. Deteriorated batting can weaken performance. You would need to get the cans open and re-wrap the baffles with appropriate batting available through bike shops. You don't have to do this, but you will likely have better performance.

You would have to bring the bike and the slip-ons to a muffler shop to have them look at the measurements, etc. to give you a quote. I wouldn't think that it would cost too much, straight pipe, male at the can end, female at the collector end.

To clean them up I would simply repaint the cans with aluminum coloured, high-temp spray paint. Maybe the same for the visible part of the baffles (with black).

I will check on the shipping.

Another item I need besides the seat is a fuse box cover that isn't cracked beyond repair.
