hello to all. I had dropped my bike in a local canyon a couple years ago, its taken me two years to aquire all the parts i need, tank, side plastic, upper cowl and support.ive been riding the naked bike at least three days a week as my commuter since i laid it down. ive never had any problem with bike until i relaced cowl support. i only disconnected headlights and instument panel when replacing cowl.bike wont start now .the three second fuel injection whine isnt happening when bike is turned on. how can i check it without going to dealer as i am not able to pay alot?is there a hidden fuse i can check? everything else works on bike. i havent ridden in two weeks and im going nuts.any help would really help me out. thanks mike

There is a fuse panel on the right side of the bike under the front cowl. Check that first for a blown fuse. Does the fuel pump just not come on or will it not crank over either?

yep first step is to check fuses...second step check all your connections under the front cowl......third look for wires that are pinched in two......fourth...you get the idea right?

thanks for quick response. bike cranks over and everything seems to work, lights, horn, blinkers .just fuel pump isnt making noise . checked fuses, none blown,no pinched wires, was riding it an hour before i replaced cowl support.

My bets are going to beon the bank angle sensor up in the front cowl. IIRC, this doesn't kill the spark to the egine but instead kills the pump to reduce the possibility of fuel continuing to pumpafter an accident.
