thanks man, i like the front fairing. I might try and get a smaller windshield but i like it without that fairing coming to the gas tank. Im going to post and see if anyone on here has one. Thanks

I just put on my F1Rs and went for a quick ride. Mid range is definitely lost with the pipes. It bothers me already

    Slip-ons rob power.

There are no free lunches with a VF500F. You'll need to re-jet to get things dialed in (back to stock performance).

Good deal on the Factory Pro kit. These are the best.

    Are you a new owner?

If so it is best to read up on the VF500F's valve train and the techniques for adjusting the valve lash. As you will be removing the carburetors, to re-jet, I would recommend inspecting the valve train (cams, rockers and stems) and setting the valve lash while you have the carburetors off.

Here is a good link to a primer on valve adjustment for VF engines:

    Nice to have you aboard!

The FM notes the valve lash should be inspected at 600, 8k, 16k, 24k, and every 8k thereafter. As you are pulling the carbs it would be a simple step to remove the valve covers and to inspect the valve lash, while you are there.
