Then why did you bring it up again if it's already been covered?

BTW, I hit a rock with my front tire yesterday

i dont want to read a conversation someone else had. i want to discuss things with people myself. otherwise there is absolutly no point to a forum in the first place.

It is a bit tedious to have this same conversation about a certain member every year. And beating up on the kids that ride the short bus just seems mean. I suppose if no one would respond to any of it .....like ....I'm ....doing....now ......

AAAAGGGHHHH. NOOOOO..... I've been sucked in again!!!!! Must....warn ... Others

well... you could have averted it by talking about the original topic.

    would you turbo a vfr?
would you do it if there was a feasable and cost effective kit available?
would you do it if you had money to burn?
    NEVER!!!
who cares? <if this is your answer then you should have probably ignored this thread in the first place.
heck, maybe it would be fun some day?
    other?

I personally do not think it would be worth the money, unless i built it myself, which may be something in the future, but frankly iv more important things to do for the next 10 months.

Hey guys, just came across this thread. As far as turbos are concerned, it has been done on multiple generations of VFRs (here's a vid of a 6th-gen with one fitted). A turbo on a VFR is not really ideal as the exhaust situation gets tricky, but it can be done. Tuning is another issue, but again, there are ways around it.

I went with a Rotrex on my bike as it eliminated these issues. These engines are built strong and love boost (my one customer in Norway just hit 183whp on his '98). Simply put, a centrifugal supercharger is the safest, most reliable & controllable way to get big power out of stock engines. I'll be officially launching the production 6th-gen kit in a day or two and will also be dropping the cost of the 5th-gen kit by $500.

If anyone has any questions about the kit or what it's actually like to have a boosted bike, shoot me an email. I originally designed a kit for the VFR as 1) I love 'em and it was the bike that I owned, and 2) I'm a horsepower junkie. The response was so good from other owners that I ended up doing a production run and eventually started up my own company catering to all kinds of sportbikes (I'm working on a GSXR1000 now, I'll soon get to the Busa and ZX14). I understand it's not for everyone, but if you love your bike and just wish it had some (or maybe considerably) more power, it's the only way to go.
