I'd try something temporary first just to make sure it works for you ... I have a feeling that might cause some turbulence issues. It breaks up the laminar flow of air over the top of the windscreen. Hopefully it works for you! Good luck

I hope it works out for you - it's really hard to clean in there!

Well guys a few rides down and it feels great. And at really high speeds, when I tuck down, no wind! Like all the other bikes I've been on. I'm loving this so far...

Sorry for the long delay Elwray, but here ya go. Its just a terry cloth taped to the inside of the windscreen. It has worked well so far. You can see it from the seated position, though. And if you're more picky than me you might not like how it looks. I don't mind it at all, though.

does that eliminate and wind noise on the helmet??
I was thinking that some of the noise and buffering might be caused by that??
Long term fix in mind other then terry cloth??

Well, helmet wind noise is a fact of life if you're going to ride a motorcycle. In normal riding position the helmet noise is the same as far as I can tell. But the wind protection on the chest is much better. And when crouched over the tank (during high speeds) it feels great. The windshield....does...it's....job.

And permanent? I'm considering this as a permanent solution. I dunno if anyone sells something solid but I've seen some screens that may stop a few bugs (view earler posts)

What's difficult about cleaning in there? Spray some Plexus onto the plenum, thread in a terrycloth towel, go back and forth a couple times. Done.

Maybe the extra airflow is necessary to cool off the questionable wiring...
