I took a ride the other day and thought I'd post up some pics. 420 miles. This bike rocks, I don't care what anybody says !! My only complaint is that I've got a Throttle Meister and there is no way you can get this bike to hold a steady speed. I'm thinking it's in the 'drive by wire' electronics as the Throttle Meister holds rock solid !!

Nice pics! Haven't been up that way in many years. What leathers are you wearing? They look good!

Thanks. The leathers are Joe Rocket. So far I like 'em.

How does the VFR 1200 compare to your CBR 1000. I honestly believe mine is faster than my CBR 900 and heavily modded RC 51 which are the 2 latest sportbikes Ive owned.

Nice pics, It makes a great SPORT touring bike doesnt it.

Truth be told, I traded the CBR 1Krr for a Honda Big Red side-by-side to use at the camp. I miss the way the CBR handled! It cornered like a 600, it accelerated like the VFR from 0-60. After that, the CBR would have left the VFR for dead! The main reason I traded it, however, is that since I picked up the 1200 I wasn't riding the CBR anymore! It was a pretty expensive 'hood ornament' to not be riding. I've had a few CBRs ( '01 929, '02 954, '04 1K, '06 1K and finally the '08 1K ) and the '08 1K was in a class by itself! But the new VFR seems to satisfy my needs just fine!
