1st Gen Frame Sliders

Anyone know of a place that sells them?

...and since I know the answer to question number 1 will be "no."

My next question is.....can we get a bunch of people together to be willing to pay for a custom set?

Maybe Mr. Daugherty can get workin on it? :tongue:

 

What was available at the time was engine guard. All metal frame extension. I had 2 differents models installed at one point on either of my vf1000fe. They are not looking good but very efficient for driveway drop. Hopefully, I don't know for a real crash.

They also look like a good place to stick your feet during long rides.

I have a set of gxr sliders and custom motor mount triangles that make them bolt on great.

 

i've been working on a set off a SP1 RC51 i'll throw some pic's up when i get them done but i am planing on putting them on where the front motor mounts are

I google searched for them, and anything that I search for with the VF, a thread or 4 on this forum shows up...

 

I usually find the same thing, VFRD hardly ever comes up, we are superior, the internetz must bow to us.......:hail:

 

Be very careful of what you install. Look what happened to the previous owner of mine. I had to replace the frame.

The frame sliders have been done forever no pictures because a year later my engine is still at the machine shop.

engine mods stalled frame slider project

Anyone who likes 1st gen "performance" will love my post when-if it is finished. The engine top case is bored for 1st oversize 11.25:1 forged pistons. They will be driven by Carrillo steel I beam rods micro polished crank all new bearings oil pump timing chains tensioners. I have stage 2 mega cycle cams with slotted cam gears the transmission gears have been dog legged for strength I am having oversize stainless intake valves fitted to the heads. Famed salt flat racers/exhaust fabricators SPD built me a trick 4 into 1 exhaust collector still need a cool 2" slip fit muffler if anyone has an idea... Kevlar clutch DRP oil mod still want an accel ignition like Sebspeed, if you've seen it.
