Hey guys, new here from sunny SA. I don't have a VFR (yet) but I'm absolutely itching for one!! Currently I ride a 2009 Honda CB1000R which is awesome, got it about 2 months ago after trading in my Buell XB9SX -what a bike the Buell was, really loved every minute of it, probably still the most fun I've had on a bike! Traded it mainly due to the lack of people able/willing to work on it and because it got so blimmin hot in the summer, not so bad when cruising at 160kph (100ml) but slow down to do some splitting or stop at a traffic light and you really felt it :frusty::frusty:

So yea, only recently bought the CB1R and loving it but still desperately want a VFR, the Honda dealer where I bought the CB had a beaut of a blue one with the most fantastic sounding pipes on.... The plan is to scrape together some extra cash (no idea how though) and get a VFR800 gen6 as a second bike for weekends away and days where I need to carry some extra stuff with me on my daily ride. I want to keep the CB as it really is an awesome bike and is absolutely brilliant in the traffic. We lane-split a lot in SA and the flickability, riding position, power, short wheelbase, etc of the CB1R makes it perfect for this so I want to hang onto it.

Anyways, thanks for all the info, I've been trwling through the gen6 forum and the gallery... just want a VFR even more now (btw, did test ride the one at the dealership and that just made it worse!).

Sorry for the long intro, I talk (type) alot when I do actually post.... normally.

Some pics of my CB1R if anyone is interested....

After pics I installed a tail-tidy (fender eliminator), RIM tape is now blue, got some quotes for new pipe (hopefully doing that at the end of the month) and added one or two other little blue bits.

Thanks man! Was really awesome having the SWC in SA, after the last game it was the strangest feeling.... we've been building up to it for so long and now it's gone

Muchas Gracias! To be honest if I didn't love the CB as much my life would be easier as I would just trade it on the VFR, but I can't... somehow I need to make a plan to get both.

Hey bud, thanks. Nice to know there are a few Safa's hanging around here
