I will more than likely end up buying a VFR. I don't know what year I am going to get yet. I would like to have the ABS so I am leaning more towards the 2008 model w/ABS. I was hoping they would be cheaper so I think around christmas time is when I will purchase one.

You think the red ones are bigger sellers? Really? I doubt it. I don't think color makes that much of a choice on this model sales-wise...

Cue Cherry Hill Motorsports in NJ...apparently no earthly idea of what the bike is selling for elsewhere. Listing fees alone must have cut drastically into their "wished-for" profit margin at this point...plus, that "mandatory" fees crap they're trying to pull...REALLY? In this economy? On THAT bike?

Have it shipped? I've done that probably 5 times now coast-to-coast and never had a single problem/scratch/issue at all.

I see two RWB non-ABS for sale in Florida near me (Tampa area).Listing is on CycleTrader.com. One is in Winter Haven (Orlando area) and the other I think is in Eustis. Winter Haven has it for the $6995 price tag. I bought my 2006 from them in 2007. Mine was on consignment and I bought it for $8000 with bags and bag liners (non-ABS). It only had 734 miles on it. It was a no-brainer. If you like the RWB then I would say go for it at Winter Haven and offer them $6500 out the door. I bet they take it.

I bought a new 07 Candy Glory Red VFR at the local dealer in Wichita, KS, three weeks ago, for $7495, plus tax, and they threw in first service with the deal. They have had it since December 2006, when their crew did the first assembly/inspection report. My salesman also told me they'd sold two RWB models to other dealers, including one in Kansas City. I did get their last one.

Dude you must be crazy or never seen the Candy Red in person.

After I lost my 06, I ran into the issue longdrive352 described. ALL the Red were in the East and everybody out here had the RWB. My choices were limited to Ship one from the east, paint one from the west or look at 08 & 09s. Shipping was $600 which I had no problem paying but most were not CARB and that's a no no in Ca. Found a dealer in Costa Mesa who offerd to paint a RWB but after all was said & done it put me in the 08/09 price range. I was making a deal with a dealer in Az for a black 09 when my eventual baby popped up in San Diego. It was raining so the guy jumped all over the $7k. Even though they have been sitting around since late 06, it's summer time & bike dealers know THEY have the upper hand so you should jump on that deal fast.

and why doesnt your dealer call to the one that has the bike and get it that way?? if your willing to pay the shipping and dealer fees then there is no problem, if that dealer doesnt want to do a dealer swap then i would avoid dealing with them
    but this is JMO.

HONDA found a bunch of 07's and sent them to EVERYBODY based on sales. The ABS went fast and the RED ones even faster. The problem is the OTHER dealer doesn't want to give up something they can sell just because you don't live closer.

Two more RWB models spotted for sale on Ebay. One in Oklahoma and one in Arkansas. Both non-ABS models. One candy red on ebay with bags, used, 3,000 miles.

Did the red ones sell faster or was it that there were just fewer made? It seems to me that there are way more '07 RWB bikes out there than the red ones. It would be nice if we could find out the production run numbers by color.

The Oklahoma one is at the dealer I bought mine at last month. Hopefully if my insurance settles with me appropriately and soon I will be bringing that last one they have home to replace #1111 (totaled on 06/19/10).

    Hi everyone.
Just joined today (as I just bought a vfr today) and saw this thread.
I had an interceptor back in the 80's and just loved the paint (apparently RWB is red while and blue 25th anniversary model) and this is the first new bike that has caught my eye in years. I live near West Palm Beach Florida and today I went over to Clearwater on the west coast and bought an 07 RWB never titled with 1500 miles (was a Honda reps demo confirmed by insurance papers) absolutely spotless for 6725.00 with only a 99.00 dealer fee. I thought it was a pretty good deal considering what they want for a new one which is basically the same bike.
Would like to hear some opinions if ya got em.

    Bill

P.S. also have an 82 cx500 turbo and a turbocharged nos injected 79 CBX.

Welcome aboard. So far I cannnot find a more versatile bike than my 2006 VFR. 30,000 miles and I am taking it in for the valve adjustment in a few weeks finally. It still runs smooth, but I noticed fuel mileage decreasing a bit. You may want to get O2 sensor elliminators for your bike. It gets rid of the slight throttle glitchiness and the 4krpm flat spot. I felt no need to get a Power Commander. If you read some threads in here the PC will decrease your fuel mileage. I also got the K&N air filter. Let those puppies breath!

I don't understand why the RWB didn't sell as soon as they hit the dealers floor. IMO, this year has the sexiest color scheme they have made in awhile. This is my fourth VFR all the way back to a 83 model. I sold my Superhawk and got lucky a few days later on Craigslist. I'm on the hunt for a 84 or 85 VF700 or 750 that has the same color scheme, but it's going to be a hard sell to the wife if the right deal comes along!

Thanks for the welcomes and replies. :)
I just thought it interesting that I've had bikes for 30 years now but nothing newer than 87 has ever caught my eye.
From what I can tell there isn't a whole lot of differences between the 2010 model and the 2007 and have you looked what the list price is? $11,999.
I'm just thinkin $6725 was purty good for a spotless factory rep demo with 1500 miles. $99 dealer fee and nothing other than tax and tag. That was it.
Being an old school guy who grew up in the 70's and 80's.... The paint is what got me. Retro 80's
Gonna modify the cans to make it sound like a motorcycle and remove the rear fender. Prob add a tank bag and higher bars and leave it alone other than that for now at least. It feels small to me after riding the CBX but it sure goes round a corner nice.
