Someone did mention cutting that seciton of plastic off below the license plate, I was thinking of doing this myself, hence why the no-cost delete worked well for me.

I will suggest however, repainting the bracket though once you have it out, because it will be dirtier than all hell and looks like ass if put back in like that.

Anyone have a 6th gen stock rear fender they want to get rid of?

I ride in the rain a lot and need one! I also need the license plate light.

    Thanks,
    Greg

How do you keep the lower clips for the forward most bolts from twisting while removing the bolts? It looks like the clips are held in place with the plastic surround of the fender. As I turn a bolt the entire clip turns tearing the plastic.

I had to use a socket with a wrench, otherwise tho bolts will twist.

Do you know how wide it is or are you asking? If you know the width, I can measure the clearance for you.

Since the fender is there to deflect debris and dirt how messy do the lights and seat underside become once it is gone? I ride in all weather.

1.) Fender elim will not work with factory hard bags
2.) Some license plates require tweaking to fit
3.) If you choose to jethro the stock setup, then accept that others find this level of solving the problem ghetto.
4.) the stock fender does little to block anything with any level of effectiveness
5.) the undertray is there for a reason

Sounds good. Now back to my other problem of figuring out how to still use my Cortech bags.

The tail light gets a little dirtier under wet conditions. That's all I've noticed, seat and rear cowl don't get any unusual dirt to speak of. What the eliminator does for aesthetics far outweighs the few extra seconds of maintenence, IMO.
